2001 N 3rd Ave, Sioux FallsWe’ve been taking our dogs to Hidden Paradise for about 12 years, and I can’t recommend it enough.
Kurt truly gets to know both you and your dogs. Our older dog, Blake (“the one with the really soft fur” 😂), would make a beeline for him every time we arrived to say hi. One thing I really appreciate is that Kurt lets you walk your dog back to their kennel yourself, so you can see the setup and how clean everything is.
The indoor/outdoor kennels have been a huge plus for us. Blake would only go to the bathroom outside, and after trying more expensive ‘bougie’ kennels (where they use indoor runs for bathroom time), she’d come home with UTIs from holding her bladder all day. Hidden Paradise solved that problem.
We also have a boxer, Dina, who has a lot more energy. Kurt has LARGE kennel options for dogs that do well together. We usually chose separate kennels because Blake wasn’t a fan of boxer zoomies. 😅
Having worked at a kennel myself years ago, I’ve seen what happens behind the scenes. That’s one reason I appreciate Kurt—he’s honest, straightforward, and genuinely cares about the dogs. He even offers camera access (which is a nice bonus, though I’ve only used it once).
After Blake’s mobility declined and she eventually passed away, we only boarded Dina. Kurt still asked about Blake, and those little things mean a lot.
If you’re looking for luxury spa-style boarding, there are other places for that. But if you want clean, affordable, practical boarding with caring staff and thoughtful extras, I’d absolutely recommend Kurt and Hidden Paradise!

I really appreciate how thorough they are! They don’t just do an amazing job grooming, but they also pay close attention and let us know if they notice anything that should be checked by a vet. Their care and attention to detail gives me so much peace of mind. Here are some cute pictures we got from their report when they were finished. We asked for a short cut for the hot summer days! 10/10, highly recommend!

The nurses were very efficient, getting us into a room quickly and making sure we were both comfortable. The doctor was fantastic she not only handled the vaccination smoothly but also took the time to review Jay’s old vet records and offer personalized advice based on his breed and age. My only hesitation is that the pricing felt a bit high, but the quality of care almost makes up for it.

I selected this vet because of the docs with their specialties in both heart and joint care which all giant breeds are susceptible. She can't be spayed until she is 2 either, and by that point she will probably be 150+. (She's big for a female; already 95# and 28" tall) They seem to have all the technical know how and equipment to meet the needs for a giant breed if something goes sideways. I just took her in for heart worm testing, heart worm & flee and tick meds. I was very happy with how they treated her and answered all my questions.

Thursday, 6/28/22, 60 hours after I brought them home, the new girls turned up extremely, sick extremely quickly. The seller treated me terribly when I called to inform him, and ask what he would do. It was late in the day, about 4:30pm, and I called every vet and SD agency I could think of or was recommended to for help, but to very little progress.By Friday morning, I was nearly ready to give up when Amber, Dr. Evan, Joe, and the Sioux Nation Ag Center team got involved. They did a TON of the footwork, and took away what had been a horrible, frustrating situation. They cleared the way for answers to help me, provided me relief and peace of mind, and have had EXCELLENT follow through. Amber especially has the BEST customer care skills and is SO SMART and CAPABLE!! Dr. Evan was compassionate and even took the call on his way to board a plane! Joe was available to me at a moment's request, and was supportive of myself and his team.These folks are what's right with the world. They are the SD I remember as a kid. I feel incredibly grateful for them, and confident in recommending them for your backyard poultry (and other Ag) needs!

Every vet, vet hospital and university we went to gave us zero hope and my boy was in too much pain to survive much longer so out of desperation we made an appt for a Chiro appt not thinking it would work but we walked out of there with not only a solution to his pain but hope that we didn't have before. From the start, Sydney was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with real-world behavior issues. The difference was noticeable immediately, and the structure Sydney put in place made it easy for us to continue the training at home. I was nervous about them with my dog as she is a young, energetic cattle dog mix and has quite a bit of energy. It was perfect for her! She even slept when we got home which is a rarity. I will for sure be using Dog Days again and will be looking into the day camp option for my pup as she seemed to enjoy getting to spend the day with other pups.
