“Lovely museum with some exhibits displaying historical artifacts from the area. Free entry, but please buy something in the gift shop or donate to help restore the building. Beautiful murals on the walls and some turn of the century decor all around. Really glad I visited.”
“We had our wedding reception at Great Bear and it was the perfect fit for us. They were very accommodating with all of our special requests we wanted to have. Aerialist performers, a band, special dessert! It was an amazing night! We really liked the eucalyptus and lights they had up too which helped with not having to bring in all of our own decorations. Everyone was really nice and helpful from the start of planning to finish!”
“I can not speak highly enough about the District and all the staff there! We chose the District for our wedding on 11.15.25 and it all turned out perfectly. From day 1, when we first toured the place they had the mindset of “it’s your day, tell us what you want and we will make it happened.” They were so accommodating and understanding of everything we threw at them. The space is open and very elegant. It has a very nice look to it and was perfect for our wedding. Shawn and Cissy went above and beyond with everything. Answering all our questions, helping us figure out what would work the best with the space, and just bringing peace of mind to us in a stressful time. Wedding day was a dream come true! The service was phenomenal! Everyone was so fast and efficient! From setting up, flipping the room from ceremony to reception, serving all the food and keeping the bar flow going it was all done so fast and precise. There is seriously not a single thing we would change about the day. The District, ROAM, and all the staff there truly made our dreams come true. ❤️ Thank you for everything!”
“We came to watch the Patrick Henry City Lights choir sing the national anthem (they did great!!) and for the Weiner Dog races at the Stampede Hockey game. Fun watching the races, and the game was great (8-1)...woot woot!!!! The only downside (which is to be expected), we're the prices for drinks and snacks! However; overall, we had a great time and look forward to going to see another game!”
“I routinely visit the Alliance for our Rotary meeting. They serve a fantastic meal at the event as well. I've heard that they have great shows here as well. I recommend the Alliance!”

“Great one night stay. We arrived just as the hotel started serving the evening Text Mex reception. It was loaded with a full taco station, loaded nachos station, and beer and wine. I had a very refreshing Michelob Ultra served by a very friendly staff person. All of it was complimentary!
They also post a monthly schedule of food offerings which I've never seen before.
Breakfast was just as amazing as my pictures show.
The place is not the newest but well kept. The only thing we found was some burned out bulbs in the bathroom. Everything else was great and all was clean. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful.
We would definitely stay there again.”
“I went to a matinee show and had the whole theater to myself! The experience was terrific. Good concessions, too. I plan to come back here again the next time I have a weekday off :-)”
“I've stayed here multiple times for business and have always had a very comfortable, refreshing stay. Very clean, modern rooms, quiet hotel, nice lobby, decent location.”

“I was there with a coach bus and college team. The parking is a bit tricky with the coach but was able to position myself for the way out in the morning. Hotel was great and breakfast was good also. Thank you. Tom the bus driver!”

“This vintage Holiday Inn has been renovated and updated so the rooms are really nice. We had an end room with an actual small balcony you could walk out on. Walking distance to the Arch and the sculpture walk is right next to the hotel.
Short walk to the Icon if you are there for a show.
Walkability: Close to the river and good restaurants and the Sculpture Walk
Food and drinks: The bar is pretty nice. The breakfast buffet is fairly simple with an omelette bar and waffles as well as a salad/fruit bar and typical breakfast basics.”
“The lanes are so nice to bowl on and the staff is top notch!! The food was wonderful and the beers were cold. Highly recommend this for family fun or to hit up some tournaments!! Great job Eastway Bowl!!!”
