“I’ve visited all 3 stores & while they’re all great, the Alcoa store is my favorite. Lots of variety, lots of casual & athletic clothes & really low prices. The staff is super nice too! This is the best place to shop!”

“First time here today. Great selection and friendly staff! I was asked several times if I needed help. I recently cleaned my closet because of the season change and getting some new fall clothing and was looking for a place to take the better pieces because I didn't want the hassle of selling myself. I took about 35ish items (clean and folded like their website asks for) and they bought all but one. I felt the price paid was more than fair! They aren't going to pay $50 for something they will sell for $60. They aren't going to pay $8 for something selling for $10. They have overhead and are doing the legwork to sell the items. If you want top dollar, you need to sell yourself. I have no time for that so taking a box and waiting 30 mins is a godsend! Really though, selling on eBay or Mercari, after you pay seller fees, shipping, time spent, how much do you really make? Just take it here and support a local business.. Anything they won't buy, they will send to their other store, Greater Goods, where the proceeds go to a local cancer charity. Even at planet exchange, they offer a great service to folks looking for affordable clothing. Probably a much better place to donate to than Goodwill.Like stated on their website they are looking for mall brands, name brands, and CLEAN clothing in very good condition. This is what their customers want and buy, they are looking for these items at a lower price or just enjoy thrifting but want better quality than Goodwill or places that aren't so picky. Some of their customers may like thrifting. Some may just want the name brands and can't afford it at malls. Nothing wrong with this either, everyone should have access to affordable clothing that's trendy. Clothing is a necessity! When I started my corporate job, I didn't have name brand and couldn't afford more than one or two name brand items. I saw everyone at work wearing name brands so I wanted some. That might not be right and I probably shouldn't have wanted name brand but it's life and I did. I wish I knew about this place back then because I could have stocked up.Brands: I wear a lot of Banana Republic, Gap, Lucky Brand, Chaps, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's jeans and took mostly those. Only a few items were new with tags, most were work clothes (work in an office) from last fall so they had moderate wear but nothing to make them worn out. I didn't bring shorts or summer clothing, I brought in season clothing just from last yearAs for their shopping selection, they have a great selection of clothing that can be worn to work, school, for kids, for adults. I was always under the miss understanding this store was for teens and younger folks but that isn't true at all. I'll be back shopping when seasons change again or when I am just looking for unique graphic tees. Their pricing is very very good. Name brand jeans for $15 - $25 (retail new for $50+). Mall brand tops for $10 - $15 (retail new for $25+).Due to the nature of this business, there are going to be folks unhappy because they didn't buy their clothing. I told my wife before I came that even if I just got $10 I would be happy and send the rest to greater goods. I got $125 and was very impressed with how this store was ran. I recommend it to everyone reading this review for shopping and or selling clothing.”

“We were visiting Knoxville for the weekend, and after failing to find a prom dress in Nashville we saw Katie's Kloset and thought we'd give them a try. We found the perfect dress, but wrong color, so after talking to an employee, she sent us to the other Katie's Kloset down the street. They had the dress my daughter wanted in the color she wanted for a very reasonable price...better than ANY prices we saw in Nashville. Thank you, Katie's Kloset for your attentive staff and outstanding customer service!”

“I took my daughter here to get her junior year prom dress and she and I loved it! Found a perfectly fitting dress and there were so many options. The dresses were organized nicely between size, color, and length, and were affordable. Great quality dresses at great prices. The workers were very helpful and friendly. Wish they sold tuxedos for my son. Great store, definitely coming back next year.”

“This is one of my favorite Knoxville shops. Always unique finds there whether it is a fashionable boutique look to an array of seasonable items for home decor. My latest purchase was an antique Singer sewing machine. Lovingly restored by C & S Refinishing and Upholstery. They were impressed by the high quality of the piece. Worth mentioning this is a family business and another great reason to shop local.”

“I was afraid to stop with all those negative reviews; I’m glad I stopped. The prices weren’t bad compared to other 4’letter stores. Coffee mugs were $2, the discount table $1 and they dis have different color discounts. Great find!”

“First visit to the Knoxville location after being to the Alcoa twice now. Very happy here too. Took a bag of clothing in and they bought all except for one hoodie. $80ish cash or $120ish trade. About 18 items. Very worth it! This time I elected cash, although my last visit to Alcoa I elected trade credit so I could spend it on a purse for my wife.Staff: The Knoxville location was very friendly and staff spoke with me a few times.Clothing/Items Being Sold: Personally I liked the styles and items at Alcoa better, but the nice thing about thrift stores is that products are always changing! There is nothing wrong with the selection here! Both stores have a great selection!Overall I really recommend this locally owned shop. Both of their locations are top notch and both have a top notch staff..”

“I enjoy Karm and the items they have displayed. The prices are fair, can be a little high, but I like knowing I'm supporting charity. Clean and well organized store with friendly employees.”
