“I’m very impressed with the dollar general in altamont. It’s probably the neatest one I’ve been in in a long time. Also the clerk was super nice. Shelves seemed to be full considering it’s a Saturday night. Good job guys”

“Mildred is the best clerk! Always smiling and friendly. Drive-thru is quicker than Misty's Market. The only downside is gas is more expensive here than at the 56 junction.”
“This store was closed for some time, but is now owned by a man that drives from Nashville to keep it open❣ It is the only place for M I L E S ‼️ to get gas‼️ His gas prices are very reasonable, anyone else would be gouging ? He will make you hot or cold sandwiches, burgers, fries, by hand and the sandwiches are very good, quality is NOT spared? There are tables inside where you can eat. If you live or work in the area, you should frequent this establishment and keep it open for the convenience ❣ I am sure he would arrange to stock anything you requested for yourself or your family?”
“I was able to get 1/4 pound beef balogna!! Employee was making fried chicken fries it looked good and smelled wonderful!! Walmart ran out of balogna piggly wiggly came through what I wanted!! Thank you piggly wiggly”
“I have seen the change over here . Always stocked compared to other locations..The new manager guy is awesome.Despite the age of this facility it's well stocked and generally clean..The manager cares about the store and the staff.I will choose this location over Altamont every time..”

“Person working in the store sent my gas to the number I told him to, but it wasn't the right number. After trying so hard I went in to the store and got the number he said I had given him so I headed out and noticed no one was in that spot. So I went out and moved out to that spot but the pump there didn't start either. I was feeling a bit stupid. I went back into the store and the man was looking at me like I was crazy. He told me to go back to my old pump because he had changed it already so I could get it. Then he looked at me and said very softly. No that is OK. You just go back to where your car is now and fill it up. I thanked him and the gas came out into my car.What wonderful thing to do for this crazy old lady. I will always stop here when I need gas because he was so kind to me. There he was taking others orders and selling to others and trying to take care of me at the sametime.
To top it off I had to move my car up front because I had to run in and use services . What a day I had.”
