“There’s a gentleman named Cody that works as a person who is bagging groceries at the front. Nicest gentleman I have ever met and you can see the joy in the hard work ethic in him every time you’re in there. I go to that store and I don’t even live in Bristol anymore just because I know he works there and it’s a pleasure. Leaving this review hopefully for him to be able to see at the very least for the company to see it and make him aware that his efforts and attitude don’t go unnoticed. An absolute stellar employee and all around human from everything I’ve seen.”
“This is great for a stop and shop while the laundry is getting done next door. Definitely one of the best arranged, most spacious and cleanest DG’s I’ve seen. Employees were in a great mood and that made the shopping experience that much more fun!”
“When they have deals it's great. The food is great in the hot bar area. You can beat the prices of meals 4-7pm 2 for $10. If your single eat the second the next day”
“Virginia Avenue Food City is my favorite in this area because they have more manager's specials than other locations. (Of course the location in Abingdon which houses a bar & encourages customers to sip cocktails while shopping is the BEST, but...) The staff is usually friendly & helpful. Management is somewhat rude, but I don't have to deal with him often. Food is fresh & usually well stocked. I would recommend this location to others.”
“You can find anything here that you can find at Walmart and it's always cheaper then them, friendly staff, recycling for electronics to get you extra cash for stuff you don't use any more. 5 Stars!!?”
“This store has an amazing variety of products and always seems to get the newest items first. They were the only store in town where I found the new Alani Nu purple Cotton Candy flavor. They also have a great selection of Squishes, drinks, snacks, and other hard to find products. The store is always well-stocked, and there’s something new to discover every visit. Highly recommend checking it out!”

“I was able to get my produce, my refrigerated items, my pet food and supplies, and my dry stock groceries. Prices are fair when comparing to other grocery stores. Service was lacking a bit of cheerfulness, but we're ok otherwise. Store clean and organized. Overall good impression.”
“I Goto Carl's almost Everyday. Because I can hit it with a rock thrown from my house. Also I will say this: I haven't met Anyone at Any other store in Bristol that can match these employees when it comes to Polite, Courteous and All around Well Mannered.,”

“Since the new owners took over it really changed. Very friendly and the store opens early and doesn't close till 9 or 10. This makes it easier for a lot of people that live on up Holston Mountain. The store is always clean and organized and they remember their regular customers.”

“The Workers have always been a great help I'm disabled so they've carried my supplies to my vehicle and I've called before to check stock on items .Not once have they hesitated to go check stock on a product and they've held the item at the front ready for check out which was a hugh help for my husband so he doesn't have to search tring to find the same product again. A over all Great Customer Service Team.”
