The store has great fresh fruit and vegetable options, but like most small stores the more health conscious options aren't available. If you sign up within the store you are sent with secret sales frequently.Only reason it gets 4, not 5 stars is the lack of healthier options (soy based products) and the layout of the store. If you aren't a seasoned pro you will walk off the pounds looking for your things.”

“This has become my go-to Dollar General. Everything is well-organized with no clutter. Staff are always busy stocking when they’re not at the register. Like most DGs, it’s mostly a skeleton crew through the day but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of turnover, which tells me the store is well-managed.”
“Love Chappell's ....always clean, friendly well stocked..Love that it is local..The meat department is by far the best around..shopping at Chappells is great ..never dread going to the grocery store there.”

“This location looked clean, had a wide variety (including fresh produce), and the male cashier that was working both times was nice. The discounts/deals here were clearly stated and the prices were fairly great!”
“I get all my gas there and lottery tickets. I called today to see what the price of gas was so I could tell my son who was on his way home from work. The cashier who answered the phone was very rude to me. He said " gas is the same price it was yesterday, $4.09 ". Then he said " get out of your house ". I am an elderly person with mobility problems. If the cashier had said we don't give out information about pricing over the phone, I would have been satisfied, but his rudeness was very unprofessional and uncalled for. If he doesn't like dealing with people, he shouldn't be working in a position where he comes in contact with lots of people every day. If I was a manager and had someone working for me who was rude to my customers, I would terminate him. It is too bad because this is an otherwise good place to shop.”

“This is the Dollar General that I go to instead of the one near my house. I’m usually able to get everything I come in for fairly quickly. Shelves are adequately stocked. There’s the usual DG staff shortage, but this store seems to manage it better. During heavy rains it is often flooded and has to close, but this isn’t the local staff’s fault.”
“I come for the sandwiches but always see other great items. Let me tell you they have THE BEST garlic bologna sandwiches (although their German bologna is just as good!). Sandwich line is typically long so plan to wait but it is so worth it. Just look around while you wait. I don't drink milk but my nephew says they have really good chocolate milk too! Warning there's a wait but once you taste the sandwiches you'll completely understand!”
“All dollar stores are good to go to but like everything else prices are going up in it I love the French vanilla creamer the dollar store French vanilla but it has went up tremendously in the last few months but I still buy it the people are very friendly and they work hard in there”

“Noel is the best manager ever. He's so on top of things, nice and helpful. I go out of my way to go to this DG because he does such a great job of keeping it stocked and running smoothly. He's totally turned this store around from where it was a year ago under the previous management. I hope DG is compensating him sufficiently because he really puts a great face on this store and company. A+++”

“On a long trip passenger widow would not roll up and it was raining horribly the cashier at DG ( Kelly) was so great helped me cut a piece of styrofoam foam the size of the window she was awesome with her knowledge and common sense”
“When stuff is in stock, it's a great place to go. But here in the last several months there really hasn't been much to choose from. The shelves are consistently empty. I usually go around opening time on Saturdays. Maybe I just miss the restock days?”
