“We donate here a lot.
Nice people, nice that they care for the less fortunate, 1.00 per item ...I have found a few treasures here as I donate my retired things, that I love.
Ai stopped donating to other places because they take our donations and resale them for 3 times the price.
What person on a budget can afford to pay 7.99 for a used pair of jeans?
And 7.99 for a used shirt?
It is ridiculous to charge such high prices when you can go to Walmart and get a new pair of pants for 10 00.
I went in after 6 months to community chest to see actually if the prices went up, zi have been going there now for 2 years, donating and buying , the prices have not changed and the store is alway pretty much packed out every time.
Love it...good to know there are people out there who aren't just concerned with their pocketbook, but takes the hardship of others into consideration.
Great job community chest.
I am actually donating again this weekend.
And I'm ok with those that work there who might see something their families can use to take what they need.
If they work there and sacrifice their time to help out I don't see anything wrong with it.
It is their time they are giving to the community.
Love to shop here and I'll give my donations as long as I don't see a pocket full of greed.
Like goodwill and karm.
I used to love to shop at those places. But 8.00 for a pair of used maybe twice of jeans is ridiculous or a shirt either one.
And the prices on other things keep going up at those places...shame on them.
Their stuff is free to them, they misuse the charity!!!”
“I have been coming to this thrift store ever since I moved into the area 2 years ago, previously Frugality Thrift Store. Watched this place grow, and even with change in ownership and name, it's still the best affordable Thrift store I've been to. One thing that astounds me is the involvement in the community that I have volunteered to help when I can.”
“The Goodwill store on Clinton Highway has always done me right. I can't say that for the one in Oak Ridge. It should be shut down. They do nothing but rip people off!”
“Staff is super friendly, prices are very reasonable and there is so much variety from furniture, kitchen ware, clothing and really interesting antique items. Highly recommend visiting!”
“I won a globe on the shop goodwill auction site and didnt realize i needed to set up an appt to pick it up. I explained to the gentleman in charge and he was so very nice about it. He retrieved the globe and i was on my way in less than 5 minutes. Exceptional customer service is rare these days and that is what i recieved from him. Thank you so much for your understanding sir, you are an asset to the goodwill for sure.”

“Great place to donate to, I do it often. The people are really nice here they always welcome you to the store. I like to look around when I donate. So when I get rid of 10 items I can buy 2 items that keeps me from cluttering up my crib. Yes I’m old school, you don’t have to pay here as much as the other stores charge and the donation here does really good things for real people with real life issues.”
“I am moving out of state and I just wanted to say that I am thankful that these stores were here! Both to donate to and almost all of the things I have are from KARM!! Excellent staff in all of your stores too!! The guys who took my donated furniture said a prayer for good luck!!”
“Prices very per item, some things are a bit over priced, building needs a little up dating, not enough employees to serve you. Decent discounts, plenty to choose from. Plenty of parking, easy to locate from street. Cleanliness of place is a little dusty. But still very clean considering thift stores go. Doors need to be alittle adjusted, often too heavy to push opened. Employees are helpful and polite.”
“This store is a fun treasure hunt. The owner is nice, helpful and eager to make a sale. She is happy to negotiate a price, so don't fear asking. There is a lot here so plan to make a few laps. Bring your sharp eye and you'll find some gold. Furniture pieces to use as-is or redo, DVD's for the whole family, small housewares and even clothes. Very eclectic shop.”
“They have lots of things, the store is decorated nice and clean. The only downside is that 90% of the items for sale are priced so high that you may as well go but new things. Honestly alot of the stuff there cost more than if you bought it new. It supposed to be a thrift store where people who are in need, can go and buy the stuff they need for a reasonable price. They are definitely out of touch with the pricing there...”
“I love KARM stores and everything they stand for. The employees are always very nice and helpful. I especially like how they let you know how much of an impact your purchase made in the local community (your purchase provided X number of meals).”
“I really like goodwill if I have a little time just to look around. I love vintage clothing and I'm addicted to coats and jackets. You never know what you will find all the while giving money for charity. The employees and volunteers work tirelessly to get new inventory out to ensure a good shopping experience.”
