Carver's Applehouse Restaurant serves good quality home style cooking with an exceptional view of the countryside at a hard to beat price. The food is delecious, with standout items like the best chicken tenders—a crispy flavor packed breading surrounding a chick the consistency of a cloud—and chicken and dumplings that taste like childhood. The homemade honey mustard is super yum, and the seasonal cobbler on the menu is good stuff. Leave room for the chocolate icing on the cake, which tastes like it was made in a professional candy shop. The fresh produce stand offers the best fruits and vegetables, great relishes, sauces, juices, and both healthy and not so healthy treats. The coffee shop serves delicious fresh coffee. The staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful; one waitress even offered over the counter medication for a headache. Be sure and grab a cookie, and visit the store, market, and candy shop for a fun day.
For our first time eating here it was excellent. The food was very fresh and delicious. Our waiter was super nice and made our experience that much better.

Stopped by for lunch while on the way to the rafting point. Surprised by the delicious home made feel of the food. It was certainly cooked on order. The chicken dumplings left me full.
