“I have been interested in 5.11 Tactical for quite some time, but never have given it a chance, being I’ve been skeptical of the quality. I always had a feel it was another wannabe high end “tactical” name, only seeing online shopping. My mistake.So, being I live close to the 5.11 Tactical store at North Peters Rd. Knoxville, I went in to check it out. The clothing and gear really caught my attention. This is where Jennifer comes in. Store associate, Jennifer, began to gently answer my questions and guide me to the type of clothing I had interest in. The conversation grew, exposing her immense knowledge of all the products and company and knowing what to present based on my questions.Jennifer is the type of sales person, representative and individual that has become so rare in retail business. Because of Jennifer, I bought a style of pant to give it a try. No doubt. Within the first few hours of wearing, Jennifer’s promise of quality was proven. I have returned since for more product, and am a new permanent customer.I have gained so much trust and respect in 5.11 Tactical, and Jennifer really is the reason I am now such a sold customer. My interactions with other staff has also been good, however, only brief. I look forward to wearing more 5.11 Tactical clothing and gear on a regular basis.”

“I can always find some things at this store. However, I am always frustrated by what I consider a rather limited choice in style options. For example, my last visit, several days ago, I was really wanting a traditional sweatshirt to wear mainly inside or for casual outings. While they had a good selection of sweatshirts they were ALL hoodies. And when I say ALL I mean every single one. Hoodies I find to be very uncomfortable to wear indoors or sitting around outdoors, because if you aren't actually wearing the hoodie, them it gathers behind your head and neck and is uncomfortable. This isn't the 1st time I have had this experience. I have shopped their in the past wanting several pair of shorts. And virtual all the shorts they had were Cargo styled shorts. As an older person that style simply looks silly on me not to mention the puffy pockets always snag things. It is as if the purchasing department at DXL decides one particular style of clothing is going to be popular and they only purchase that style. I don't understand it and it is extremely frustrating. But I don't have many options although I am always on the look out for other places to buy from.”

“Its a great addition to Oak Ridge. Its run fairly well and recently the store has looked a lot more tidy although some areas are still cluttered. It has close convenient parking at both enterances and is well lit. The male clothing is pricey by any stretch of the imagination, no bargains here. Other items are interesting and the selection of hard to find goods brings me back. The jewelry is a great buy as is the luggage. The staff turnover must be high, I have never seen the same person twice. The store is always busy so it is a popular place for sure. It's a nice addition to Oak Ridge where choice is very limited.”

She swang by and she asked if we were finding everything ok, and I truly believe she saw my frustration and took us right over to some styles he may like. “I came in on Thursday 02/28 with my 2 daughters. I was there to get shorts for my older daughter and one of the employees was extremely friendly. She helped us find shorts and she even brought us more options to the dressing room. One pair of shorts weren’t available that we liked so she helped us ship them to our home. I wish I had caught her name. We were there from like 4:30-4:50. I really appreciated how friendly and helpful she was!”

Came in to pick it up on a weekend during a huge sale, so the line was long, but they had many registers open and were working through it quickly, attentively, and kindly. Despite being busy the staff were making friendly conversation with customers as they rang them up. Not to mention that the store looks so clean and organized. I've worked retail and I was impressed with the set-up! Seems like management is doing a great job as well as the hourly staff. Retail jobs are often thankless but I appreciate you. Thanks for the easy experience that made my weekend errands so much easier!”

“I will give a 4 star review to this location. The service I received was good, the young gentlemen who worked with me were polite, attentive, and provided good service. They found a different size coat for me and tailored my suit pants in roughly a week. They pulled off a tight timeline for me on an upcoming event. Bravo for their service level! To reach 5 star from me, I would like to see more suit options to purchase as inventory seems lower than in past visits there and as the staff gets more tenured, they will be even more knowledgeable to offer suggestions and options. Overall I had a good experience, and if you are hard to fit as I am and would like for a suit store to help fit you properly, I would recommend this store.”
