“1st - I don't like stopping to use the bathroom, away from home but when I must, I will usually buy something to show my gratitude. So, I took the opportunity to top my gas tank off, then, hurriedly, went inside to take a bathroom break. OUCH! their bathroom was out of order! To say the least, I hurried off to my next stop, at the Lauderdale Water Dept. & their bathroom was open. Yay me!”

“Idk his name and I don’t normally make reviews. But there is a man who works here 3rd shift and he’s got like ginger colored hair. He seems so sweet. My husband comes back talking about him everytime he goes in about how friendly and kind he is. Yall did good hiring this man. We come here ALOT. Every night almost and seriously, this man is the sweetest man yall have EVER hired. I wish I knew his name. But he’s got ginger hair and 3rd shift.”
“Too expensive everywhere!?$?$?!$?. I worked.at a full service station while in high school. Gas was .25 @ gal ? People would get .50 c worth. 2 gal . Saw a lady the other day driving 4 wheel drive w/tires about waist high. She got 3 $ , probably didn't get too far.?”

“Considering it's Memorial Day I was truly shocked to see only one vehicle in the parking lot and that was it. We got gas and drinks and left in just a matter of 3 to 4 mins.”

“Truck parking available for about 10 rigs, but it's paid unless you make a purchase in the store or buy fuel. They have a hot bar with fried food and offer Wi-Fi, but no full restaurant. Overnight parking is allowed with permission, though spaces tend to fill up quickly after 5 PM. Watch out some potholes. Other than that, it’s a decent spot for a quick break or an overnight rest if you don’t mind the fee. Drive safe and stay rested!”

“Now Gates Express, which was previously known as Bologna Joes, has really improved lately. New management has made a big difference , feels more organized and well run. Especially the clean bathroom makes it a good stop. They’ve got everything you need, from cigarettes to beer to cold drinks, all stocked up. Overall just a much better vibe now and a reliable stop.”
