“Keaton at the Hendersonville location was awesome to deal with and saved Discount Tire a customer. I recently purchased tires at the Rivergate location and had a great experience there as well but not so well this time. While having new tires installed I was quoted $10 per tire for new TPMS stems if I purchased theirs. I was told they didn't have the stems along with couldn't get them. I was quoted $35 per tire if I brought my own which was a $100 penalty because they couldn't supply them. Sam's Club was my next option but I decided to try another Discount Tire location. I'm glad I did. From the tire purchase, new metal TPMS valve stems installed at no charge, which Keaton had on hand, to the alignment, all of those involved did an excellent job. Thanks to them for a pleasant visit.”

“Made an appointment online. Arrived a bit early and were greeted and seated quickly. Getting all 4 new tires mounted and balanced took less than an hour. I kept one tire for a home project and the disposal fee for that one was waived. They even installed my modded tire valves. Overall I am satisfied with Discount Tire's service. I recently had four tires installed and my front brakes replaced at your location. My concern is not with the quality of the work, but with the overall value of my experience.

After comparing prices with your competitors, I chose your shop because it appeared to offer the best value for the tires I wanted.

If only one of the following issues had occurred, it would not have been a significant concern:

When I reviewed the work order, I noticed an optional road hazard charge had been added without it being discussed beforehand. I had it removed, so no major issue there.

I was informed after the purchase that the free oil change included with the purchase of four tires does not apply to Volkswagen vehicles. While disappointing, I understand that Volkswagens require a specific oil type and service procedure.

The most frustrating issue involved the advertised $75 financing promotion. I intended to provide the promotional code when opening and using the financing account, but the sales manager processed the transaction so quickly that the purchase was completed before I had the opportunity. When I brought it up immediately afterward, I was told there was nothing that could be done.

Since I have already purchased four tires and brake service, and your location does not perform oil changes for my vehicle, it is unlikely that I will have another qualifying purchase in the near future to use this offer.

For that reason, I do not feel that I received the value that was advertised. I would be happy to update my review to five stars if the $75 promotional credit can be applied to the account that was opened during this transaction.

“My name is Paul Ragnoli. I’m from the Detroit, MI. area. Recently, I visited the Sam’s Club in Hendersonville, TN. to buy a hat bc it was raining while we were there. I went to the clothing dept. where I approached an elderly, smiling lady named Marvis who was folding clothes! I asked her where the hats were and she said they don’t sell hats there and directed me to Walmart, just down the road. I struck up a conversation with her and we talked for quite a while. Marvis is 84 years old and is a very intelligent, hard working and dedicated employee. Imagine the experience she brings to the table!?Having been a former manage, as I was, we talked about workplace environment and employee / management interaction. We talked about how nice it is to have the manager / supervisor recognize you and say good morning or good afternoon, whatever the case may be. Teamwork makes everyone successful, and knowing your team mates names and their personal story lends a sense of personal worth to the workers. After all, kindness is free and the feeling it gives to your employees is immeasurable! I always treated my employees with respect, a sense of appreciation and worth and never took them for granted. Although Marvis didn’t spell it out in so many words, I sensed their could be some room for improvement in this area. I thoroughly LOVED talking to that lady! She is witty, smart, and funny! If I wasn’t in a rush to meet my son for dinner, I would have loved to pick her brain some more. So, if anyone in management is reading this, please stop by and show some respect for someone who has put in the time on this Earth and knows a thing of two. Just a smile and a hello and a “How are you doing Marvis?”. It would really make an elderly lady feel happy. Anyone who works there, please stop by and tell her that Paul from Detroit (who was riding in a handicapped scooter) will never forget her.
