“My car suddenly died and I found myself needing an auto loan swiftly. I was through dealing with old, crappy cars that needed more repairs than they were worth, but was worried about not only being able to get financing for a good car, but that whoever was doing the financing was going to take advantage of me. I shouldn't have worried at all! Everyone at the UT Credit Union was AMAZING. They are so personable and friendly, and really try to get to know you so they can help you in the best way possible.
Brittany was the person who handled my auto loan, and boy, did she have to deal with all sorts of problems! She came through spectacularly, in spite of all obstacle! I found a great deal on a car out-of-state, but the dealership was reticent to deal with Tennessee sales tax requirements (too much paperwork they said) and I thought the deal was over. Brittany was able to talk to the sales representative at the dealership and explained the situation to him. They then decided to make an exception for me.
The loan itself covered the FULL amount of the vehicle, and I got a great rate for my financing, even though I had literally signed up for a checking account a few days prior. For years people who bank at credit unions have told me they are superior, and I doubted this, but UT Federal Credit Union convinced me!
Also Caleb was the guy who first signed me up for an account so he gets an honorable mention as a very personable individual who made me feel immediately at home. What a great place! Highly recommend!”
“We have been a members here for a little over 10 years. We have had a couple overdraft fees in this time frame, and they were able to help me out both times. On the last one, the automatic withdraw was a day early and I didn't expect the payment to process that quickly. Spoke to a nice lady in customer service, I believe her name was Cindy. We have a credit card and have had two car loans, and one recreational boat loan with them. Wish that the Maynardville HWY location was still open on Saturdays just in case I needed to visit this branch in person.”

“For the most part I like this federal credit union. There are nuisances which are frustrating. Often times a credit card purchase looks like it is due immediately. Not 30 days or more. I told it is just how the system works. I explained I didn't trust that answer because if I don't pay when the due date says I could get a late payment on my credit report. No one wants to get a 50 to 100 point drop for something that isn't their fault. Credit Union answer is Not a good answer. Because of this issue I went to my closest branch, 88 miles from me, to deposit funds into my share account. Used my debit card from another bank. Was told there might be a fee. I said why?, I am using a debit card. Asked to speak to manager. Branch manager assured me there wouldn't be an additional fee. I believed that answer. But I was charged two seperate $3 fees for using my debit card. $6 total. Not about the money it is about the principle. I would understand if I used a credit card to deposit money. I used my debit card which isn't the same.”

“I recently financed a vehicle through KLEFCU and couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. My vehicle purchase was a bit complex due to the vehicle not being local and having to travel to get it. Everyone at KLEFCU made it completely seamless. Kristy, in particular, went completely out of her way to help me. She walked me through every step of the process, made sure I didn’t miss out on the vehicle before it sold, and was always reachable when I had questions. Every time I called, she answered. That kind of customer service is extremely rare. This is my second auto loan with KLEFCU and both times I shopped auto loan rates across multiple credit unions and banks in the area. Nobody came close. They have the lowest rates around by a long shot. Although their rates are great, their customer service sets them apart. When you call KLEFCU, a real person answers every time.”
