Scottish Pike River Park is a quiet and peaceful park with a beautiful view of the river. It is a super park, described as a quaint little place. The park grounds are well kempt and it features a nice paved walking path that circumnavigates the area, offering just the right amount of walking. There is a very big pavilion and ample covered picnic benches, including three covered areas and one large gazebo, with several benches available. Trash receptacles are nearby, though they were noted as overflowing on one visit. For recreation, there is a small playground with a double-slide, though the playground was noted as a bit dingy. The park is very quiet and peaceful, offering pleasant bird sounds and immersion into nature, though a plant across the river makes constant noise. One lonely bench overlooks the water, perfect for ferry boat watching. Visitors should note there are no restrooms. Small children need to be supervised near the water. Some curious elements include a fenced-in enclosure with barbed wire and a gas pipeline nearby. Wild berries and trumpet vines grow by the shore, and geese are present. Despite some minor disappointments and oddities, it remains a lovely place for a picnic or a peaceful visit.
