“Jeph has a shining personality that makes the trip to this thrift so worthwhile; you can tell he puts a lot of love and effort into keeping shop. Everything is beautifully arranged and so cozy. They have amazing deals, and as far as selection, they carry a bit of everything. Hands down my favorite secondhand shop in town.”
“This store is what I think most of us believe a thrift store should be: well-organized and very affordable. Most clothing items under $5, almost everything in the store under $20.”
“The AMVETS in Knoxville is definitely one of the better ones in the area. Knoxville has a bit of a higher standard of living so the merchandise is a bit better. The prices at AMVETS is always fair. They don't rape you on stuff like a religious thrift store in the area. I like to help veterans so that's a plus for me. The selection here is very good. Lot's of clothing, books, movies, household items, dishes, cookware, furniture, and all at competitive prices. Things are tough and we have kids that are growing rapidly. Thrift stores are the way to go for clothes. This place really provides a great service. We highly recommend a visit and will continue to visit ourselves.”

“Excellent selection! It’s a hybrid between an old fashioned thrift store but also has some more boutique type items that are great if you are looking for a gift. The prices are honestly some of the best in town. Inventory seems to be changed up often so I like to check back in frequently. Super sweet owners that are in the store a lot. It’s such a hidden gem!”
“This place is excellent! Clothes are very affordable, even saw some wedding dresses in perfect condition for $10! I got a romper, bodysuit, and shirt for only $3.28. Businesses like this one really do help and support the community with their pricing and the environment by promoting reusing clothing, home goods, baby/childrens' goods, and more. Thank you so much, Honey Rock! I can't wait to rock my new outfits. ❤️”
“This is a great place to shop. I've bought several things for my kids, my mom, and myself. The people are always so friendly and helpful. I love the store. Being a single mom of two kids the community chest is an absolute blessing and I appreciate all of them from the bottom of my heart. ??”
“Really authentic vintage clothing for not a heafty price. Not as much stuff inside as I thought they would. But also good, bc they aren't jammed packed to where you don't know where to start.”
“Absolutely love this store. Went on a sunday? I got 7 pairs of slacks,9 sweaters, jeans for my daughter dress for my daughter only $35.00.. I was gonna have to spend 175 at Goodwill or karma for the items we got. I will be in this place alot.. Going back for those boots I seen Atwell. Really friendly staff, like the greeting alone coming in the door..Hands down 10 outta 10. Next level thrifting. Thank you gals”
“LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Great prices, very friendly staff and always new things to buy! Will not be going to any other thrift store but THIS ONE! Also they have some awesome sales going every time we go in!”
“I won a globe on the shop goodwill auction site and didnt realize i needed to set up an appt to pick it up. I explained to the gentleman in charge and he was so very nice about it. He retrieved the globe and i was on my way in less than 5 minutes. Exceptional customer service is rare these days and that is what i recieved from him. Thank you so much for your understanding sir, you are an asset to the goodwill for sure.”
“Super nice people working, all kinds of interesting stuff here! Proceeds help homeless! We will be back! I walked through several times to be sure I saw everything!”

“Staff are super nice. Lots of nice preowned furniture, housewares and a clothing section.
I didn’t find what I was looking for but they have a Facebook where they announce big deliveries of items.”
“They do a great job of clothing and feeding prople. That's the mission. The thrift store, which helps support that, is one of the best in town. From variety, inventory, staff and prices - it's simply the best. (Love sweet Ms. Nancy at the register.)
Complainers gotta complain. Go to the chain thrift stores, pay 10 times more and leave wondering where the money goes!
Not here though. You see the needs being met.”
“Prices very per item, some things are a bit over priced, building needs a little up dating, not enough employees to serve you. Decent discounts, plenty to choose from. Plenty of parking, easy to locate from street. Cleanliness of place is a little dusty. But still very clean considering thift stores go. Doors need to be alittle adjusted, often too heavy to push opened. Employees are helpful and polite.”
“I would certainly recommend the salvation army to anyone who is homeless and trying to improve your situation. There is a lengthy amount of paperwork to fill out at first. They have lots of rules you must obey. Random Alcohol and drug testing. Curfew hours. A low tolerance for disobedience to their rules. The facility itself is quite nice. Lunch and dinner are provide free and the food is good. Guests are required to do daily housekeeping chores. Upon acceptance, they will give you up to 60 days emergency shelter free if charge. After that there is possiblity if extended stay by paying rent(at counselors disgression). They will provide some help and support in getting treatment for addictions and finding work. You are expected to look for and find work and make progress toward becoming independent again. It's not a permanent residence institution, but more of a transitional resource for those who are trying to improve their lives. On the down side of things, the place is currently at capacity at the time of my writing this. They are under staffed and strained to handle the job load. Good luck trying to get anyone to answer the phone. The employees I've met are caring people tho who will try to help if play straight with them. I've been is several shelters this past year and this is by far the best of them all.”
“They went through growing pains during their remodel. I have shopped here for years. Every month the store gets cleaner, brighter, and add better inventory. Plus their prices are reasonable, especially given other thrift stores in the area.
I hate to write this review because it’s more competition for me?. However, their current team of employees seems to be stabilized and I find something every time I go in the door (at least 3X a week)
Excellent job improving service, cleanliness, and quality!”
“Let me start off by saying—-I love this store!!! I live in Kingston, but my son lives in Seymour so every time I come to see him I have to come in this KARM store. It is so clean and organized. I love it. Also the staff is so friendly, so open to me asking them questions. I met two new friends in there today Debbie and Craig. Another staff member thanked me for shopping there! You just don’t see that anywhere else. I cannot say enough about how great this store is!!!!!”
“It's organized by type of item like shoes or tank tops, etc. It's arranged by sizes but it's all mixed up, like most thrift stores are. The prices are very reasonable. Not like Karm! The music played is not all the religious kind either. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I found some really good deals.”
“My daughter and I went in to find her an outfit for a last minute event. I can’t tell you how happy I was with this store. Very organized and the employees were extremely helpful. A lady by the name Amanda helped us find everything we needed and was patient with my very shy daughter. I can’t thank you enough for making her night so special.”
“I had not visited this store in years! It use to feel dark and dirty and was always a mess. Yesterday I was at the shopping center and decided to try again. I was so glad I did! The store was clean, welcoming, bright and nice to shop in. The store worker mentioned to me that they desperately need men's clothing. If you need to clean your closets, donate to these people.”
“I had never heard of Karm stores before. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and prices of the items they had! What makes it even better is they do give to charity and actually better communities! Will definitely be going back!”
“I am moving out of state and I just wanted to say that I am thankful that these stores were here! Both to donate to and almost all of the things I have are from KARM!! Excellent staff in all of your stores too!! The guys who took my donated furniture said a prayer for good luck!!”
“Love thrifting when I'm out of town. KARM was great - furniture pricing is a bit high and misleading if you're not paying attention. Staff is great and super helpful.”
“I visit this goodwill once a week at least. Everyone is friendly and willing to help me find what I need. This place has definitely improved over the last 10 months. It is keep very tidy and they are always trying to make it easier to shop!”
“My new place to shop .something new every day. Just keep checking you'll find something at a great price 50 per cent off a lot of days. Very friendly people who work there. Treat you like family”
“The Cashier That I See When I Shop Is Very Friendly,Nice And Extremely Helpful If I Need To Find A Particular Item . Always Clean And Organized Store .And I've Noticed That There is Only 1 Person On The Floor Trying To Do Everything But Other Goodwill Locations Have At Least 2 Ppl On The Floor Seems This Location Could Use More Employees”
“Just got done shopping there, we didn't have all the money to cover the last item we had left (embarrassing) it was the only thing my fiance wanted, he was super excited about it the whole time even as we were checking out and then of course, our luck, we dont have it. Luckily though, I had most of it and my fiance had what he had on his card, but again.. were lacking like 80 something cents. (Not much, I know.. but still sucks..) but, thank jeebus for the young girl with the brown shoulder length hair, (asked her name but the whole situation stressed me out so much I cant even remember) just that she was at the register, and she used/scanned all the throw away gift cards with extra change on it til it added up to what we had left and BOOM we did it. Team work! But, long story short, she was awesome. Definitely a life saver. That girl deserves a raise. I'll definitely be coming back, thanks to her. She made my first visit there great, out of all the karms I've been too this one was the cheapest for one, and 2 the girl who checked us out and did so much more for us without us even asking her. She was the best part of it!”
“Where Treasure Hunting Meets Extreme Couponing
If you’ve never been to a KARM store, let me paint the picture: it’s like a thrift store and a treasure chest had a love child, and they decided everything needed to be ridiculously affordable. I went in for “just a quick look” and came out with a cart full of the most random yet glorious finds, including a vintage lamp, a slightly terrifying porcelain cat, and a pair of jeans that somehow fit me perfectly.
The staff is amazing—kind, cheerful, and nonjudgmental, even when you buy 12 picture frames with no intention of printing photos. The prices? Chef’s kiss. I felt like I was robbing the place but with their full consent.
The best part? The sheer unpredictability of it all. One minute you’re looking at designer shoes for $5, and the next, you’re holding a waffle maker that probably belonged to someone’s grandma in the ‘80s (and yes, it still works).
Sure, it’s a bit chaotic, but that’s the fun of it. KARM isn’t just a store—it’s an adventure. Whether you’re furnishing your apartment or just in the mood for a good laugh over quirky finds, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend it for thrifting enthusiasts and bargain hunters alike!”
“I was there with a friend, the questions being asked I'm unsure of only because I was not really looking for anything at KARM Stores. But the store looked clean and organized if that helps?”
“I went there just the other day, the volunteers were fantastic. I was so happy when I saw the prices. A thrift store that is for charity should use the money to help the charities, but also sell the clothes at prices families can afford. This store does it all. I will definitely be a repeat customer.”
