“We go here pretty often if we don’t want to drive to dollar general. Clean store, close to everything, Decent selection, and friendly staff other than one older lady that doesn’t seem to care about your time. Everyone else is always super friendly and helpful! Sometimes the shelves are kinda empty but it seems like that’s just about everywhere right now.”

I walked in needing toilet paper and a pack of gum. I walked out with a soul HEALED. Lee Ann didn’t just ring up my items — she rang the bell of hope and humanity in my weary heart. A line 7 people deep? She destroyed it like a checkout ninja, scanning with such speed and grace you'd think she trained with NASA. Someone dropped a jar of pickles? She caught it mid-air, I SWEAR. Babies stopped crying. Birds outside started harmonizing. A light beamed down from above.
She’s not just a Dollar General employee — SHE IS DOLLAR GENERAL. The general of dollars. The commander of deals. The warrior of good customer service. You walk into her aisle? You walk into the presence of LEGEND.
Someone get this woman a cape. No — a crown. No — her own parade. Lee Ann, if you're reading this: never change. You're the reason the Earth hasn’t exploded.

“This is a nice dollar general location that is usually not too busy and a great place to pick up reasonably priced snacks and drinks. It's a mess inside, but I think every dollar general is. The people who work here are usually quite friendly and willing to help if you're looking for something specific.”
“This store is great for quick stops. The employees are helpful and friendly. The store is well stocked and I always find something I didn't know I needed. I have noticed when the employees aren't up front they are close by, stocking the shelves. Just give them a heads up and they'll run to the front to help you.”
“I only had one problem with this store clerk . I have a 4 & 6 yr old. I don't take them out in public much because of the covid mess. Well to make a long story short. My 4 yr old looking around seen something that she liked. She starts to carry it out , as I was saying Oh No, you can't ever take anything without paying for it. The man yelled and said No you don't take things that you don't pay for. I said wait a min. she had started crying by then. I said you wait, I am trying to explain to her that you can Not ever just pick something up and carry it out. He should have NOT been so rude and loud to a 4 yr old. So NO I will NOT go back to that store. Thank you.”
“Since the new manager came in and the remodel this place is always clean organized. You can tell they work hard because if it's not on the shelf then they are out of it for the moment.”

“This is by far the best Dollar General around.They carry produce, they are fully stocked every time I go in. They are pleasant and helpful. A BIG shout out to Lori (Spelling may be off). “Took my grandson's Christmas shopping for each other while they were trying to hide what they had got for each other. The cashier she went out of her way to help hide them from the other one and she put several bags on them so the other one couldn't see it. She was great and very friendly.”

“In regards to the post below me, I've witnessed the lady under me being extremely rude to Jessica, Jimmie and the store manager over PENNY items. Throwing a fit in the store demanding to buy penny items. All the employees there are always super friendly, but do not tolerate being disrespected, as they shouldn't have to tolerate being disrespected. I have found penny items in this store before, and they have sold it to me because I am polite and don't demand things from the employees. I love this store, it's one of the best stores in town”
“I did not intentionally seek out posting this review. My phone continued to ask me how was Dollar General Store? Well, this is how it is. The prices of their items are less expensive than most other retailers. But, the staff and overall atmosphere of the place makes it feel like a trailer trash Emporium. Pretty good prices but it's embarrassing to be seen shopping there.”
“I actually like this little store. I live pretty much across the road from the 1 on Rutledge pike (by East Knox Elem.) but will drive across the bridge to go tò this 1. But that's mostly because of the store cleanliness an also, nio, mostly because the 1 on Rutledge pike has the most horrible customer service I've seen at a Dollar General in a very long time. They are quite rude at that 1 an forget it if you need any kind of help on the floor. There store is also a mess most of the time. With carts an merch sitting every where. I certianly understand if there's not enough to ring up customers AND put out stock. Mgt is at fault there. But when you've got even 3 working, thats MORE than enough, honestly!”

“I just moved out here to Boyd's Creek this last year from Pigeon Forge this past year and I love this dollar general. All the employees are so friendly and helpful if you need anything. Samantha is always running one register then helping her coworkers if they have any issues with their registers and when she's in there alone she runs 2 registers when need be and gets people in and out as quickly and efficiently as humanly possible. She is one of the hardest working employees I have ever seen & she genuinely cares about her customers. I'm also happy that this store is close to my home because they have some of the best employees in this whole county that I've ever been in. I go in there sometimes 3 times a day because I forgot something and they are always so nice and helpful.One thing I think they should add however, is more clothing and shoes because alot of people would rather buy them there than drive to Winnfield Dunn Parkway or Chapman Highway. I know I would?”
“We were traveling through the area and needed four water bottles for our young children. I was frazzled and frustrated. I walked in and asked for help finding the water bottles. The clerk directed me to them and then found some more bottles for me. It was nice to get the help.”
