East Tennessee Feed & Seed
3415 New Hwy 68, MadisonvilleWe travel an hour & half each way to buy their rooster booster for our chickens & turkeys. We have compared the birds we have vs the birds we have given away/sold that eat different feed. Ours on rooster booster are much healthier and their feather quality is also much better.

Pet Care

Notchey Creek Veterinary
1255 Ballplay Rd, Madisonvillemy dog was itching horribly and i didn't want to take him to the same vet hospital id been going to, so i called notchey creek and they scheduled him for later that same day. The Vet and VAs here are very knowledgeable and helpful. Staff is friendly and the vet is great, clean working area, love the county setting and welcoming feeling you get there. They got me right when i got there. Very efficient. I've been unhappy with my prior veterinary hospital so i plan to take all 3 of my dogs here now.

A&W Restaurant
3989 Hwy 411, MadisonvilleI came to obviously eat but also kill some time. To my surprise this specific A&W has that old school drive in type of ordering. The California locations that I used to go to didn't have this setup. Food is made fresh and hot. We really enjoyed the hamburgers and fries. If you come here be sure to order their root beer.

Monroe County Animal Shelter
170 Kefauver Ln, MadisonvilleWe adopted our sweet Maggie (formerly known as Cookie) through Monroe County Friends of Animals, and I’m truly grateful we found her there.
Shauna Gavin fostered her and is also a dedicated volunteer with the organization. Maggie had never really been handled before Shauna captured her. She was a scared little puppy who didn’t know what to expect from people. The patience and time Shauna put into helping her feel safe is something I will always appreciate.
This isn’t surface-level volunteering. Shauna clearly pours a huge amount of time and energy into these animals. You can see it in the way Maggie transitioned into our home — she had a foundation of care that made all the difference.
The whole experience felt personal and heartfelt. We are so thankful for the work being done there, and especially for the commitment Shauna shows every single day.
Maggie is now loved beyond measure, and she got her start because someone cared enough to step in.
