“I like going to the bookstore. Barnes and Noble always has a good selection of books. My past experiences with customer service have all been pleasant. I only wish that they had a larger selection of discount books and possibly even a used books area for older books.”
“A great bookstore for all avid readers in the Memphis area. They have a wide variety of books; last time I visited, they also had a large collection of signed books from different authors. Support your local bookstore!”
“They are so nice I called to see if they happened to sell Holy water and they said it was free just to go and get it I walked in asked again just to make sure they are so polite I was able to get what I needed! Highly recommend!!”
“Today I went in looking for a specific kind of jacket. After looking the sales floor over, I asked for help. Barbara went above and beyond yo help me find the jacket I needed in the back inventory, and she did so with a smile. To make the deal even sweeter the jacket that I needed was on clearance. So the price was sweet too. Thanks Barbara!”
“The guys there are very patient and sweet. They remember you when you come back and that's something that businesses don't do often. They joke with you and make you feel right at home.”
“When I entered the place of business I was greeted immediately by a young man. I was asked if I needed assistance; I did not. I actually was there with my mother in law. Everyone was pleasant including the delivery people that stopped by. I heard phone transactions which were handled very professionally from just ear hustling (lol). I sat in the waiting area by the window which I enjoyed the beautiful day that was given to us. My mother in law was taken care of in a proper manner. We will return .”
“Very nice Christian Bookstore. It has a lot of unique items. I found everything that I was looking for & ALOT MORE things I'm going to go back to get. VERY nice employee who took the time to help me.”
“Across the street from the main campus. Very clean and a large selection of gear and supplies for a smaller space. Store has student essentials across a variety of class needs. Good selection of cups, mugs, spirit wear and more. A friendly and helpful employee has been a part of every visit as well.”
“This is the University of Memphis Bookstore. The closest free parking will be street parking on Walker Avenue. You can also pay for parking in the Zach Curlin Parking Lot which is almost next to it.In addition to having course books as well as lots of school supplies, they also have a nice assortment of non-academic books, University of Memphis swag, and a full Starbucks next to it. It isn't as nice as Novel (I don't think anything in Memphis is), but if you are in the neighborhood it is worth a stop. Friendly and helpful U of Memphis students work here!”
“The bookstore is great. They offer a great variety of books and gifts. The staff is friendly and courtesy. They make sure you are provided with great service. Janet Hicks.”
“Had a great time. Good clean booths with handles. Plenty of room in the booths to move around. Plan on being a repeat customer and helping releave others tensions. Will visit the theater next time because crowds are great. Edited, wife had an amazing time and wants to go back more, and i will take her.”
“I cannot say enough good things about the Episcopal Bookshop. I've been a patron since I was about 13 or 14 (I'm 65 now). Jeanne Hughes was my high school English teacher at Grace-St. Luke's School. One of my Top 10 favorite bookstores in the world (along with Book Cottage in the Square in Oxford and Strand in New York). One of my top 5 in Memphis. I never cease to find something amazing, and I usually spend some cash during Lent when I stop by on the way to Calvary for Lenten preaching, like yesterday and today. Knowledgeable and (key word here) NICE staff. Books, gifts, cards, great selection of Bibles for all traditions and a children's section. It's just a sweet little oasis in the city just across the parking lot from the Bishop's House next to St. Mary's Cathedral.”
“The books from birth program is a great way to learn and enjoy life long reading. Birth to 5 year olds receive a free book every month. Just sign up. If you move remember to leave a forwarding address!”
“I have been assisting this college for 3 years now . Best decision ever! I love CBU culture, staff. I love the fact that our classes are small and not over populated, professors are always there for you.”
“Wonderful independent bookstore owned by an exceptionally well-read and knowledgeable couple. It is a true pleasure to go to a bookstore with owners who are actually well read and can recommend great books with ease. I love this bookstore and cannot recommend it enough. Support your local independent bookstores!!!!”
“Cutest little book shop. The first thing that pulled us in was the detectable AC lol but their inventory kept us looking! They carry lots of local authors and have mutiple $1 book sections around the store. The employees were super sweet also!”
