An attractive store...well stocked. That said, consider customer service: There isn't any. If I wanted silent, un-human customer service, I'd just order groceries to my door. When I trouble to shop personally, I want personal service. Yet, one recent visit after another, I've found zero cashiers, or only a single beleaguered one, leaving everyone to those infernal self-checkouts. This last time, I just wouldn't wait any longer for personal service, left them with a cart's worth of re-stock, and walked out to shop at a competitor's store. Kroger...Kut the Krap. Meanwhile, I'm going up the road to Sprouts, where the service is pretty darn good.

That parking lot is the worse. I went on Sunday morning and had to work for my food (self checkout only)and then pay for it. Other than that I love Kroger ?

No associates to check out groceries, maybe 4-5 self checkouts open for a line of 20 people or more waiting... I had a lot of groceries to self checkout and this is not the first time.... Totally Ridiculous

I just moved to living near downtown and I would come here to get my groceries but is too crowded around 11am to evening. You have to go there real early if you don’t want to deal with all the congestion in the store and the parking lot too. They don’t even have enough cashiers so you are always standing in a long line for self checking out.I resorted to using their pick up service which also is not the best. I say to not substitute items and they still do it anyways or give you stuff you didnt even order at all. So I have to wait until customer service steps back outside to tell her I don’t want this. I will say the lady who brings them out to you is really nice but I don’t know who picks the groceries out, they do not read the comments at all added to your order. This has happened more than once. So I will more than likely go a bit further out to another kroger than isn’t as bad if I can get better service and less wait times in store.

Big, dirty, unfriendly/unprofessional staff especially identified management. No bags to place bakery bagels in, employees acted as if I were asking them for a body part. Ha ha! Do not recommend for safety, customer service, food freshness, parking, grocery shopping.

The Kroger on Union Avenue has got to be the worst grocery store in Memphis. I got out on these icy roads and ran up there after work knowing they closed at 6 pm. So I hurried and made it at 5:35 pm and they were already closed! I pointed to the sign that says closes at 6 pm and the security guard had the audacity to rip it off the wall and tear it into shreds while dancing and laughing with her fellow co- workers. Ma'am you are a nuisance to society and I hope karma gets you good. Obviously Kroger doesn't need our money so why should we be shown any respect. I'll take my money to Cash Saver and Fresh Market from now on. At least you're treated like a person there!

Apparently they close at 10:40 and the security at the door is extremely rude about it. Need to change hours online if that's the case. Ridiculous.

The store closed 15 minutes early today, Wed November 22nd. Security wouldn’t allow myself and 2 other potential customers in. I only had 3 items to get. The other gentleman stated they only needed 1 item each. They asked security to get the manager and security did not get manager nor allow us entry. This is not a good business practice. When you don’t allow customers in, you are saying you don’t want our money.

Witnessed two black female cashiers being discriminatory towards a Muslim couple who were just trying to buy bulk water bottles -Katundra was the bystander cashier laughing at the misfortune that the man said “you didn’t ask me for my Kroger rewards number” and instead of being helpful the actual cashier was stubborn and unhelpful talking back that she did and that it was too late. I would have told her to cancel my order and restart because that is an option instead of ridiculizing the man who is a customer and you are supposed to provide customer service for- it was kind of disgraceful on the cashiers being unwilling to do anything even if it’s part of their job to assist

This has to be one of the nicest Kroger I've been too. If I had to choose one to go to forever it would be this one. Everything is always neat. The workers greet and are polite.

Kroger is always very clean. The wipes to clean the grocery carts are near the front entrance. The produce and meat are fresh. I love the deli department. I wish they would have more check out lines open. Sometimes I have too many groceries for self checkout. I see they have added more security measures near the front entrance lobby .

The lines are ridiculous... on top of that the employees are rude and don't want to do their jobs... I visited 9/15/23 and I think that was one of the worst experiences I had... even though I've been there on multiple occasions, the female workers always have a negative attitude... hire more men... disgusting... i asked the lady about cherries in the jar and she told me they don't have them this time of the year and she dismissed the whole conversation which was strange... the male worker took me to the aisle where there was A LOT on the shelves... people just don't want to work anymore

This store is probably the busiest store on the planet! The line for the checkout wrapped around into the produce section; however, the staff kept things moving very quickly. I was tempted to put my two items back when I saw the line, but I didn't. Good choice!
