Overton Park Shell is a historic venue established in 1936, presenting a signature series of free concerts to build community through music. It is a favorite and great concert venue with a spacious, clean, and beautiful park. The atmosphere, visuals, audio, and stage are fantastic for a world class event. The sound is great and you can see the band well no matter where you are. It is recommended to bring your own chairs or a blanket, as the benches are not very comfortable. There are lots of food, beer, and cocktail options available for sale. The venue provides a perfect experience for diverse audiences enjoying music as the sun goes down.

This is Memphis' best. The event took place in the last weekend of June and the City took care of all of the mosquitoes and other pest that could've ruined the whole experience. KUDOS Memphis!!! 💯 On the other hand these kids are amazing!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Best for Live Music Because: Live music, no admission, gorgeous setting, your own picnic basket. That makes the Shell one of the city's best live music venues.
Best for Early Entertainment Because: Shows at the Levitt tend to be early evening, so you still feel like you have a social live, but you're home by 11.
