“Wonderful museum with amazing photographs by Dr. Ernest Withers Sr. (who we had not heard of before). Dr. Ernest Withers is native to Memphis, TN. The photos capture moments in history including Civil Rights, music, and culture. My partner and I spent about 90 min. here because not only are the pictures amazing to look at, but they have little descriptions and write ups about the moments in the picture, and also what was happening at the time. 5/5! No photography allowed, but you can purchase prints. Cost is donation.”

Kool & the Gang wasn't half stepping. They were outstanding. My family and I really appreciated the shuttle which really help with carrying our chair and cooler to the venue which made it so much easier .”

“Went to the Serial killer Speak Easy and as a true crime fan, these were outstanding performances by all the actors! I do feel it was a missed opportunity to have 2 other actors play the actual serial killer for Ted bundy and the killer clown though. Instead we were given a cop and a bar waitress for those stories. Although, it’s understandable if they didn’t have actors that had enough likeness to the serial killer to play those two roles as they are a smaller group of traveling actors. But let’s not forget the complimentary drinks inspired by each serial killer! Definitely was still an experience to be had! Your a true crime fan or speak easy lover, than you’ll love this!”
“So I’m not a golfer but do go yearly to the TOURNAMENT,, and learned a lot about golf,,, Saw a few players named on the leader board and see the amazing golf course,, THE GOLF course was soooo vibrant and,, facilities and grounds surrounding so well manicured,,,, ,I personally understand why so many people visit this place it’s so impeccable in many ways,,,, from security,, facility bathrooms,, extremely clean,, pools and patio area was neat as well!!! KATT WILLIAMS,,,, is usually here every year,,, and was also on the green!!! SADLY after next year it will no longer be in MEMPHIS,,, l think it’s going to be a great lost for the city of MEMPHIS AND SOUTHWIND!!”

“If you’re looking for a wedding venue that truly takes the stress out of planning, Balinese Ballroom is it. We chose the High Point Room, and it was absolutely beautiful. It honestly didn’t need much decorating because the space speaks for itself.
From the planning process to the wedding day, the entire team went above and beyond. They handled every detail we discussed, and once decisions were made, I never had to think about them again. They made everything run so smoothly that I was able to be fully present and enjoy our day.
The on-site catering was delicious, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and I never once felt like I was inconveniencing anyone when I had questions or needed assistance. They genuinely cared about making our day perfect.
The parking was easy for our guests, the planning process was seamless, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. We truly couldn’t have chosen a better venue, and I would recommend Balinese Ballroom to anyone looking for a beautiful, stress-free wedding experience.”

“My husband and I had our wedding in October 2026 at the Kent and it was a fantastic choice! The Kent provides a beautiful industrial space that is customizable with 3 separate large spaces. We utilized all 3 for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception for our 200 person wedding. We rented items like a black and white dance floor, beautiful ivory draping, and twinkly lights draping the steal beams to give the space a very classic and elegant look. Toni Williams, Director of Operations, is the most incredible person to work with! I cannot say enough great things about her and the vendor partnerships she has! She helped our vision come to life and we owe her so much for making our day so beautiful!

“Woodruff-Fontaine House is one of those venues that just gets it. I photographed a wedding here and the entire place feels timeless, classy, and incredibly well cared for without ever feeling stuffy.

“The Owner was extremely helpful even though my event wasn’t at this venue, but his personal desire to help me under unexpected circumstances, which was finding a location for my father’s Repast was most appreciative. I desperately wanted to have my father’s Repast at this venue, but the venue was already booked. However, should I need to find a venue for future events this is a place I will certainly choose. The place is elegant and would have easily accommodated my guests.”
