It was my first time at Memphis and this tour is a must to do if you like Victorian architecture and history. The house is amazing. Jennifer was an awesome lady, very informative, friendly and helpful. She made our experience wonderful and very welcoming to this Historical place. Thank you so much!

I'm SO happy we chose the Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum for my daughter's 5.27.23 wedding & reception. The venue is beautiful, and Jennifer Cooper is absolutely awesome! She went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience (even with the rain)! 100% recommend!

This was one of the best self guided tours. The displays were set up for Halloween which gave it a spooky feel. The organization has kept very good care of the period belongings.
Rising from ancient magnolia trees, the Woodruff-Fontaine House stands as a reminder of an era long gone. This beautiful French Victorian Mansion was built in 1870 along "Millionaire's Row". The mansion, home to two prominent Memphis families, was deeded to the city in 1936 and stood vacant for several years. The Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities rescued the house in 1961 and restored it to its former splendor.
Preserved inside are eclectic collections of antiquities and artifacts from the 19th and Turn of the 20th centuries. The mansion is appropriately dressed according to the holiday or season. Permanent collections are on display throughout the year
