“I showed up at their door early and without an appointment and also a new client because my dog, Mazie, was very ill. Being a tech, I pretty much knew what was going on with her and they were amazing the way they worked with me with her diagnostics and care. They were very compassionate and made me feel as if I had been taking her there for her entire life. Thanks to everyone that made my experience a good one being as that it ended with such sadness. I will recommend you to anyone and everyone that is looking for a primary care hospital. Thanks again, and I will definitely be back!”

“Both of my cats have received excellent care from Berry Hill Animal Hospital for over a year. My favorite thing about this veterinary practice, and specifically Dr. McElyea, is how much they educate pet owners. When we got our second cat, they took the time to give us tips on introducing our cats and decreasing aggression. Most recently, Dr, McElyea took the time to brainstorm and share tips of how to help my cat with weight loss. She even calculated the calories per day my cat should be eating and came up with a target weight. I really appreciate the time and effort that the vets put into our cats care. I’d recommend them to anyone in the Nashville area!”

“Dr. Shinar was so attentive and kind. I am a nurse and I care a lot about my dog so I had several questions. He was very thorough answering my questions and even after my visit he sent me a link to an educational article/website about my dog’s condition. He also pulled up her chest x day and went over it with me. Additionally, they also have next day appointments available which is great when more emergent issues come up. My dog broke her nail off completely and they saw her the next day. The staff is super friendly and I can’t give Dr. Shinar enough praise. He takes time to do a thorough assessment and educate owners. So happy I found a good vet after moving to Nashville!”

“My 18-year-old cat, Roxy, collapsed at home and I rushed her to Harpeth Valley. The entire staff immediately jumped into action: both vets and several techs worked on her at once. Dr. Hurst was compassionate, honest, and truly invested in her recovery. None of us believed she would make it through the day, but with their continued care, the right interventions, and a lot of intuition, she surprised us all.
Her labs have stabilized, she’s recovering, and I have more time with my girl thanks to them. Today on her follow-up after the crisis has passed, he walked into the room holding her like a proud grandfather showing off a miracle baby. I’m deeply grateful for the urgency, kindness, and skill of this clinic.”

“I can’t speak highly enough for Dr. Head. My dog had been struggling for about a year and a half with a pretty serious skin condition that hadn’t been figured out by other vets. Within one visit and a week later of medication, he had it nearly completely resolved. He was also incredibly kind, and I adore his staff. Very, very grateful for him and his expertise.”

“I was at the vet today with my dog, who was admittedly being very difficult and resistant. Despite that, Dr. Thomas and the entire staff were outstanding. They went beyond just being clinically professional — they were genuinely kind, patient, and understanding throughout the entire visit.
Even with our dog being scratchy and volatile, everyone remained calm, reassuring, and supportive. As an owner, that made a huge difference. I never felt judged or rushed; instead, I felt like they truly understood the situation and cared about both my dog’s well-being and my comfort as an owner.
Dr. Thomas took the time to talk through a thoughtful plan to help Winnie feel more comfortable in the office going forward, which I really appreciated. It was clear this wasn’t just about getting through the appointment, but about building a better experience for future visits.
