“I've always encountered friendly employees. They have so much at great prices. They've got rugs flooring books food toys howard linens little bit of clothes and seasonal items all that great prices. It's like a treasure hunt at times too. I enjoyed this by section and the food because they're spices are what you would find at Walmart but a lot of containers are bigger and better prices and you can find things that you won't find at Walmart they're better stocked. Pie fillings lots of pie fillings Cherry Apple Peach blueberry. They got lots of different books for all ages. If you need rugs I got lots of different size rugs at great prices.”

“An amazing lady name STACEY helped me. I was looking for a product that was not on the shelf yet. She told me she just got a truck in and will bring them from the back for me. She also made sure I brought the correct charger for my son’s VR headset. So sweet and kind.”

“They're really stepping up their game when it comes to customer service. We were greeted along with everyone else who entered the store after us and employees are very helpful”
“This place u will always find the stuff you need as a teen the employee here are a vibe and one of my favorite thing is a Mexican lane wth every Hispanic thing you will need”
“This is a clean store with a great selection of food and home goods. I like to take my time and just browse the isles here. The prices are reasonable and the staff are always very friendly. There are not really enough of them, there is often a line at the registers.”
“I was here this morning around 10 am. The lady working at the register was so nice. Most pleasant experience I've had at a store in a while. Who ever she is, thank you for being so kind to me and everyone else that shopped there this morning. You made my morning happy.”
“Located conveniently close to my house, this tobacco and beer spot has become my go-to for refreshments, gum, and the occasional beer fix. One of its standout features is its reasonable pricing, a refreshing change from other establishments that often overcharge for similar items. However, while the selection and affordability are top-notch, I have to mention a slight drawback: the cashier's demeanor leaves something to be desired. While I strive to be a courteous customer, the lack of pleasant interaction from the cashier can be off-putting. Nonetheless, despite this minor hiccup, I wholeheartedly recommend this place for its convenience, affordability, and variety of offerings.”
“The dollar tree is the dollar tree, everything a dollar. They have some good stuff, a lot of useful stuff and some stuff is junk. I do love stopping in for a look from time to time.”
“I have to say this is one of my favorite Dollar Generals. I had an issue a few years back with an employee but she's no longer there. The DM fixed the issue and I am highly satisfied! Love the new store! Except my phone loses reception the further in the store I go. That's my only complaint. and it happens at other Dollar generals too so I don't know what it is.”
“I’ve shopped several DG locations across the state of TN over the last few years, including this one when I used to work in the area as it was on my commute. This was my first visit in a couple of years and wow! A lot has changed! The staff has always had great customer service but, where many DGs fall short, the store was very well stocked, neat and clean. Especially the restroom. This is a store I would go out of my way to visit with the exceptional customer service Patrick and Nelson!”
“It’s fairly well stocked most of the time. This store does seem to have an issue with employee retention but a lot of stores do these days. However, most of the rotating employees are nice and friendly. Overall, nice store”
“I was there buying a couple of things, and the poor guy in front of me in line couldn't pay for his $20 worth of groceries, so I bought them for him. Kindness is something my parents taught me. It's a great feeling to be able to help a fellow American.”
“I was in your store on July 17, 2024. I was looking for a couple of different items and unable to find them. I asked an employee name Irene for help and she couldn't have been any nicer to me. She took time to help me and was just as friendly and helpful to me. I really appreciated her help and hope she gets recognition for her work ethics!!!”
“Planning a formal 18th birthday party for my daughter that we adopted last year. She's never had a true party so she wants a fairy tale one. Got the clear plastic serving platters & some other odds & ends that I'll be able to transform them into the party of her dreams.”
“Great item. Great atmosphere awesome workers come here more than I need to, but everyone is always so awesome and amazing deals on items on the restock day Friday is the best day to go but everyday you will surely find something.”
“I've seen messy Dollar Generals, and I've seen clean Dollar Generals. This one, despite the Help Wanted signs around the store, is one of the cleanest Dollar Generals I've ever seen. If I lived closer, I'd visit it more frequently.
The store was also well-stocked and very tidy. I didn't see any employees besides the cashier, but it's clear that all the employees care about keeping the place running.”
“Kali, current assistant manager, has helped turn the store around and clean it up. The customer is her number one priority and treats everybody with a smile and respect. Nice to walk into an organized store!”
“Dollar general store #10266
1898 Almaville Rd
Smyrna, TN 37167
6:25 pm 3/13/24
I am 36 weeks pregnant, and am supposed to be on bed rest after several times of pre-term labor. My father had an emergency last week and was in the hospital, had several surgeries, and was just released today. I was attempting to get him all the things he needs so I could finally rest, and dollar general was my last errand to get some distilled water for his cpap machine. The shelves were empty. They had clearly just gotten in a truck and had carts of merchandise everywhere. An associate, Don, asked if I needed assistance, and went to hunt for it elsewhere. We finally found several bottles at the very bottom of a cart underneath lots of heavy things. I didn’t want him to go fishing for me, I offered to run to the next one up the road, but Don cheerfully tore down the cart full of heavy stuff just to get me the one bottle I needed for my dad. I was working really hard to cover it up, but I was nearly in tears as I stood there in pain having contractions. I’ve been to this store a million times and I’ve never seen Don before, so I’m presuming he’s new, but he is by far the best employee I’ve ever encountered in a Dollar General. I really hope you guys can give him the recognition he deserves, bc he definitely did not have to do the things that he did and went above and beyond to help me.”
“THIS STORE LOCATION (3600 ANDERSON RD.) IS NOT ON YOUR DG WEBSITE AT ALL....I WOULD NEVER KNOW IT EXISTED...I HOPE SOMEONE READS THIS AND FIXES THAT. .......LOST REVENUE.....”
“The gentleman who helped me this morning was great. This Dollar General location is honestly probably the cleanest and most organized location I’ve ever been to, and I have lived in Texas, Florida, Tennessee and Wisconsin. I hope the gentleman who came in this morning at 6 AM has a great rest of his day. He was very nice.”
“Current crew young guys and one woman are way nicer and more helpful than the four that worked there before. I stopped going there for awhile because the old employees were super rude and I was waiting in line and the Jamaican woman employee was on the phone saying racist stuff against white people and the others were so angry all the time and short tempered. The older guy who's a manger there now is really kind and a hard worker. Just glad they got the riff raff out of there because there's no reason for that.”

“It's an ok place. They have stuff I need and don't need. They carry food, brand name and off the wall brands. Please check expectation dated on all food. I've been in several (like 6) and find expired food and no I'm not seeking it out. I'll keep going back.”

“Convenience meets affordability at the Dollar General in Smyrna, Tennessee, conveniently located just a stone's throw away from my home. As a frequent visitor, I've come to appreciate its proximity and the range of offerings it provides, particularly when it comes to satisfying my cravings for refreshments and indulging in a box of Tagalongs cookies.
One of the standout features of this Dollar General is its introduction of self-checkout kiosks, a game-changer for those looking to streamline their shopping experience. No longer do I find myself stuck in long queues; instead, I can breeze through my purchases with ease, thanks to this welcome addition.
Speaking of purchases, Dollar General excels in offering a variety of products at wallet-friendly prices. From household essentials to snacks and beverages, there's something for everyone here. Personally, I find solace in their reasonably priced drinks and the ever-tempting allure of Tagalongs cookies, which never fail to satisfy my sweet tooth.
However, amidst the convenience and affordability, there lies a minor inconvenience. The store often seems cluttered with unopened items, creating obstacles that can be challenging to navigate, especially during peak hours when the aisles are bustling with shoppers. While this can be a slight inconvenience, it doesn't detract significantly from the overall positive shopping experience.
In conclusion, the Dollar General in Smyrna, TN, serves as a reliable neighborhood hub for quick essentials and affordable indulgences. Its proximity, self-checkout option, and enticing selection of products make it a go-to destination for locals like myself. Despite occasional crowded conditions, the convenience and savings offered here make it a staple in my shopping routine.”
“Public ALERT!!!! They do not have trees for $1...In fact, they don't have any trees at all. However, they did have some quick and in expensive ($1.25) car cleaning items like Armor All, window cleaner, tire & rim cleaner, and new car scent. Just what I was looking for. Lots of items at reduced prices. No long lines. Quick in and out.”
“I love Dollar Tree but this location does so much business it is always under stocked. I happened to catch it in the morning. They were stocking up as I shopped. Sweet buys!”
“I frequent this store at least once a week. Went in today and got in Elizabeth's lane. Everything was fine until I asked for the total. At which time she replies "oh I thought you seen it on the screen. Most people pay attention to that". She then sticks her hand out for payment. Keep in mind she still hadn't told me the total. So I turned the keypad to her to show her that the total wasn't on that screen. She then replied "you must not be having a good day cause it don't seem like it" still not telling me the total. Finally she told me the total. At this point, I was so flustered at the disrespect, I almost walked away without my purchase. Her response? "Ma'am now here I am helping you out, you forgot this". She doesn't seem like a people person at all and is in the wrong line of work. That's absolutely not how you talk to customers. I don't know if she was mad that she had to work today, or mad that she had to open a register. But neither were my fault. That's a terrible way to treat paying customers. I'll drive to another location before I willingly allow someone to talk to me in that manner.”
“Since December I have seen this store slowly do a 180 .. there are no carts or merchandise all over the aisles anymore.. ever since the young spanish lady started working there all you see is improvement..but you can tell they are short staffed”
“Today was my first visit to a Dollar General having grown up on the West Coast. Vicki and the manager working were amazing- they were very welcoming and patient in helping me learn about how Dollar General coupons work and ensuring my shopping trip went as expected. I will return to this store without hesitation.”
