“Location is fantastic for us doing Americanafest in Nashville - East Nashville is the place to be! Very safe, walking neighborhood. The Russell makes check-in and out super easy with simple coded doors. My measure of a great stay is how is the bed, the shower (pressure and temp), cleanliness and noise factors - The Russell gets an A+ in all of these areas. There are nice complementary treats in the room. Also dont forget, part of your $$ goes to help the houseless folks of the area. This is our 3rd stay at the Russell. If you are looking for a hotel bar and hoping lobby -this is not your place.”

“Whilst choosing the best stay for myself on my first visit to Nashville, I was deciding between a couple of options but am so happy I ended up booking several nights at the Gallatin! Before even your arrival, the staff has excellent communication in ensuring you have the proper check in instructions and you feel confident you’ll be in good hands. The location is great as it’s in the center of East Nashville, conveniently located by coffee shops, restaurants and convenience stores that are walking distance. Ubers are relatively cheap (under $10) to get around nearby. The room I booked was cozy, perfect for one or two people as it’s compact but quiet and has every amenity you need. I love how vibrant and safe the hotel feels and I would definitely stay here again when visiting the city.”

“If I could figure out a way to give them 6 stars I would!! I stayed a few weeks and its been a pleasure. The location is perfect. There is everything around. Monica works the desk and she is courteous and efficient and very knowledge about the area. The pricing is more than fair. The rooms were clean. Hot water doesn't run out. Housekeeping dependable. Quiet the whole time I was there. Safe; I never worried about my surroundings. If you get the chance to stay you absolutely should!! 💯 High standards”

“This hotel is by far the best. I've ever stayed in and my trips to Nashville. I had called and spoke to Alexis at the counter two days before my arrival. She was very polite and courteous on the phone call. When me and my party arrived, we met Alexis at the counter and she was more than exceptional. I booked four rooms, she kept us on the same floor and accommodated all of us. The staff there is phenomenal, even the parking attendant Maverick. This will be my choice hotel upon my return.”

“I'm not a huge fan of hotels downtown, but his place doesn't miss the mark. Just of the interstate. The mattress and pillows make feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. Good bars all over. We enjoyed the pool. We had a great breakfast next morning. Chef Wendy made us an omelet to our specification. Lisa, conserage ensured everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend.”

We enjoyed the directional for the conference and our event. The drinks and food at the bar were yummy and it was so cool in there amidst the TN heat! I’d love to host an event here again.”

“We rented a room twice here due to a flight. Staff is very professional and kind. Check in was a breeze and the hotel was spotless clean including the parking lot. The room both time was clean and ready. Even the AC filters were spotless clean. The pool and Jacuzzi were very nice and towels are provided. We didn't eat on site but breakfast is included and they offer dinner options as well. Location was great, close to restaurants and sites. Getting to the airport is very easy from here and takes 6mins to arrive and they also offer shuttle services. This is the only place we will stay in Nashville for any future visits.”

“I stayed here with my mom while visiting Nashville. The room was really nice even though the USB ports between the beds and the wall plugs under the tv were not working. Pool was really nice. Laundry room was nice and the washing machines cost $3 per load, dryers cost $3 per load with the option to add 5 minutes for $.25 each and the washing machines and dryers only accept cards and contactless payments, the fitness room was really nice. The room keys are tap to the lock and I was able to put my room key in my wallet and just tap the back of my wallet to the door. Breakfast was really good with cinnamon rolls my favorite item. Staff were friendly”

The hotel was impeccably clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that made the entire experience feel effortless. The valet parking service was also excellent. The valet team was friendly, courteous, and efficient, which made arriving and leaving incredibly easy and stress-free. We especially enjoyed breakfast at Little Fib—the food was delicious and the perfect way to start the morning. The location is also incredibly convenient, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer without the hassle. Overall, the Renaissance delivered a wonderful combination of comfort, style, convenience, and genuinely friendly service. I’m already looking forward to returning. Consider me thoroughly impressed—and that is not a compliment I hand out lightly.”

“Hotel is very nice. Breakfast was good - clean tables and everything worked. The coffee was even good lol Rooms are cute, bed was not bad, on the firm side but I personally liked it. Bathroom was spacious, shower had good pressure. Our hair dryer was broken but we just went to the front desk and they had a replacement ready to go. I definitely will stay again. We stayed in a king room.”

“Stayed at this resort for a work conference, and it is HUGE. There’s ton to do inside of the resort - spas, restaurants, bars, swimming, conference rooms, meeting spaces, etc. It was easy to find the meeting spots as they were all situated in one area. The room was your standard room (2 queen beds) and had a balcony attached. What I didn’t like about my room was the connecting door as I could hear my next door neighbor and that made for an irritating stay. Other than that, it was a nice place to be for my stay!”

“Had a fantastic stay here. The hotel is beautiful and you can tell it's been recently renovated because all the finishes and touches are brand new. Our room was great, and I'm still thinking about how spacious and beautiful the bathroom was. Location is so awesome just one quick walk to Broadway and beside a big mall, so you're right near the action but still get a chic and upscale experience. The lobby and bar are stunning and have a fantastic atmosphere for a drink. Huge shoutout to Philip Johnson the manager. VERY memorable service. “We spent the weekend at this hotel and it was a good day. The front desk attendance did a great job of getting us checked in without any delay. The hotel staff is very professional and very helpful. The rooms are very spacious and I like the layout. There are pots and pans and silverware and a stove for cooking and a small refrigerator with a freezer. The only thing I would improve is the breakfast. Breakfast on Saturday was good and included turkey sausage. Breakfast on Sunday only had pork sausage. I was going to get a muffin but they were all gone when we made it to breakfast at 8:45. I settled for scrambled eggs and orange juice. They should also add a waffle machine or a pancake machine. There is a nice bar with a cool bartender with hot food that stays open until 10 PM. Overall, this was a good stay for us and we enjoyed it.”

“Just returned from a really fantastic trip tomNashville! The amazing Union Station Nashville Yards was the main reason the trip was so great! Extraordinary property was converted from a train station built around 1830 to a magnificent hotel in the late 1980’s. We were there for a wedding! What a marvelous venue! Staff could not have been nicer. Never had room service but I did eat breakfast and lunch in the dining car!! My shrimp and grits were to die for. Would eat every week if I could. The wedding went off perfectly. Perfection!”

“This is a great hotel. Just don't come here for the pool. It's tiny and dirty. I pulled plastic cups and straws out of the pool which was full of drunk people. There are about three lounge chairs so don't expect to get any time to lay out. Otherwise, great comfortable rooms and beds. Nice views. Good location slightly away from the noise on Broadway. Oh and the breakfast restaurant had slow service but good was very good.”

“I’m not going to give Bode a bad rating because I want to support an independent hotel, but I do have some constructive feedback. The pricing was pretty comparable to the Marriott and Hilton options I looked at, but since I travel a lot for work, I wanted to try something different. A few things that would’ve made the stay better: 1. Please add a lamp by the desk! I had to take a few work calls from my room and having only the overhead lighting wasn’t ideal. 2. There’s no daily housekeeping included. I stayed for three nights and housekeeping is an additional charge, which was a little surprising given the price point. 3. If you’re traveling for work, bring your own steamer. I asked for an iron twice and both were broken, and unfortunately the steamer I was given was broken too. 4. Early check-in isn’t guaranteed. They’ll hold your luggage, which is helpful, but having an early check-in option when rooms are available would be a nice touch. That being said, the bar was great, the staff was really helpful, and they have a great happy hour deal. The coffee was also solid Overall, I liked the concept and wanted to support something other than the usual big hotel chains. I just think when the pricing is comparable to Marriott or Hilton, some of these little conveniences make a big difference, especially when you’re traveling for work.”

“The room were clean and very nice. Especially for the price, I was surprised at how spacious the room was and the ammeties. The staff was very friendly and attentive and helpful. The pool was closed that weekend, which was very disappointing as that was the reason we chose that hotel over another cheaper one. Friday night, we were given a pass and able to go across the street, to a neighboring hotel. And use their pool. But Saturday we were told both pools were close for the weekend for maintenance? Seems like an odd time to me. The weekend is the time people travel. The website didnt mention anything about the poll closure and we werent told that upon checking in. I also was told that the coffee pot in the room was K-cup compatible. It was not and it was a wrrod kind of basket too. Not a normal filter basket, but a little tray that you pur the grounds into. I was not able to use the cofee pot, as I thought I could use K-cups so thats the only kind I brought with me. They di have a small stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher in the room. The kitchen light was flickering but after we mentioned it. We came back a few hours later and it was fixed. Had to request extra towels and new sheets. We decided to extend our stay to 2 nights. I guess since we were only booked 1 and then extended, house keeping didn't come by. So we had to ask for extra towels and sheets and change it ourself. The shower doesn't have a door, so the water goes all over the floor and makes it very dangerous and slippery. I'm an athletic 26 y.o. female and almsot slipped getting out. Its a bad setup. They need a ledge or doors to keep the water in.”

“Our trip here was amazing!! Tammy was really helpful and sweet while checking us in and gave us good recommendations for food around the city! Matthew was also very kind and attentive to us while we were at the rooftop bar and made sure we were good the whole time! The valet staff was helpful as well and helped put our bags in the trunk when we were leaving! I will always recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nashville, and we will definitely be back!”
