Jeff, the owner, is an awesome guy—hands-on, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone has a great experience. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the laid-back and enjoyable atmosphere. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with tons of amazing photo spots. We especially loved the greenhouse, and the outdoor areas are perfect for capturing beautiful moments. Plus, the baby goats are an adorable bonus! It’s one of the best venues we’ve worked at, and we’d highly recommend it to any couple looking for a laid-back, outdoor vibe for their wedding.”

When our time was up, everyone was sad to leave. The pinata hanging system is genius! We had a fantastic experience, and I would love to come back!”

“My family and I are staying here because my son is playing in a tournament nearby. The employees are so friendly and helpful—especially Bree. During our stay, the toilet and air stopped working, so they moved us to a nearby room. Our next room was top notch. It was clean, had a kitchenette—everything we needed for our long weekend stay. It’s also near a mall and lots of restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.”

“I had the great pleasure of being the speaker for a men’s retreat last week at Johnston Woods retreat center. A Methodist owned property as it appeared rich with history and scriptural influence. I was greatly impressed with the staff and Facilities of this beautiful place had amazing experience with silence and solitude in God’s beautiful creation on some of the trails on the property. They have Disc Golf and fishing opportunities to canoe and mountain bike with local bike trails both on property and just outside. Their gate is highly sought after trailhead for hiking in mountain biking. Highly recommend Johnston Woods retreat center for a retreat or meeting team building, wedding, anything else that would call for such a space ?????️????”

The decor to give them a home is adorable but the little critters themselves are great mascots. As an animal person, we got along fine. But if you're one of those people who can't seem to love cute little animals - look out!”

“Talk about a great stay! The rooms were a great size, the whole hotel very clean, and each room had a sliding glass door either opening into the central area (where the pool is located) or to the parking areas. We stayed for a business trip and I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Sonesta hotel, this having been my first time staying at one of their locations. The staff was quite helpful, even providing a few suggestions for activities in the area. My ONLY complaint is that they don't provide a complimentary continental breakfast, but with the great location, multiple breakfast options are a short trip away. Plenty of businesses, restaurants, and things to do within a 5 minute car ride, just off of the interstate. Despite the proximity to I-75, once you're in your room the outside world melts away and it's quiet. I rather enjoyed the curved couch with ottoman and the television that swivels for easy viewing from either the couch or bed. If I'm ever in this area again, I'll stay at this hotel again!”
