“My family and I are staying here because my son is playing in a tournament nearby. The employees are so friendly and helpful—especially Bree. During our stay, the toilet and air stopped working, so they moved us to a nearby room. Our next room was top notch. It was clean, had a kitchenette—everything we needed for our long weekend stay. It’s also near a mall and lots of restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.”
“Island cove is a good operation. The owners are wonderful and will accommodate your needs . The rustic rooms are clean and beds very comfy. The view of Harrison bay is fantastic.”
“We were impressed from the moment we walked in the hotel. The lobby was spotless and smelled fresh and clean. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Upon entering our room, our first impressions proved to be true. The room was spotless. The bed was comfortable and living area spacious. “Place was clean and plenty of room. Only issue was the air in the room. Cant go lower than 68 and that provided the air to be at 73 with no circulation. The air was barely creeping out of the vents so we had to go buy fans and it is not even summer yet.”

“Everything you would expect in a basic hotel. Easy parking and well lit parking lot at night. Easy access off major highway.
Room was clean and neat. Everything functioned as expected. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker all worked.
Bathroom was spotless. Room was cleaned and resuplied everyday.

“The service here is wonderful, the people are kind, and the hotel is clean. BONUS! This hotel has two amazing, very cute hotel kitties: Salt & Pepper! The decor to give them a home is adorable but the little critters themselves are great mascots. As an animal person, we got along fine. But if you're one of those people who can't seem to love cute little animals - look out!”

“Beds were super comfortable and loaded with pillows. Shower water pressure was good. All amenities in room worked well. Fridge actually worked a little too well.
Carpeting and overall room was outdated, but to be expected for a lower to mid range hotel.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Price was middle of the road and competitively priced given the dozens of immediately surrounding hotels, motels, and extended stays.
Breakfast was your standard eggs, sausage, muffins, yogurt, waffles. But it was good, and included in the room rate.
Solid 4 star for me.”
“Talk about a great stay! The rooms were a great size, the whole hotel very clean, and each room had a sliding glass door either opening into the central area (where the pool is located) or to the parking areas. We stayed for a business trip and I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Sonesta hotel, this having been my first time staying at one of their locations. The staff was quite helpful, even providing a few suggestions for activities in the area. My ONLY complaint is that they don't provide a complimentary continental breakfast, but with the great location, multiple breakfast options are a short trip away. Plenty of businesses, restaurants, and things to do within a 5 minute car ride, just off of the interstate. Despite the proximity to I-75, once you're in your room the outside world melts away and it's quiet. I rather enjoyed the curved couch with ottoman and the television that swivels for easy viewing from either the couch or bed. If I'm ever in this area again, I'll stay at this hotel again!”
“We've stayed in quite a few motel, sixes in our travel experiences and I have to say, this is probably the best one we've ever been in the rooms are fantastic. The beds are really comfortable. The staff is very polite friendly and professional, and we haven't had one issue, it's very safe. There's a lot of convenience things around and it's a great bargain, overall, we couldn't be happier.”

“Wow!! This place is VERY comfortable. Love how clean it is, also such a convenient area, your not that far from Hamilton Place mall. Staff was very nice and welcoming, And I also love how there is a kitchen, a full size refrigerator, and the microwave. It seems like some extended days don’t even Include if it’s not one thing it’s another . Definitely would recommend to people who need somewhere to stay for long-term. Also has a washer and dryer! Definitely five out of five!”

“I stayed on Dec 19, 2025 on my way to Texas. Checked in around 10pm. Jay was the attendant and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Answered my questions with a smile and welcoming attitude! I am positive at this time of year he has had a rough shift yet he never showed it! That speaks volumes for his work ethic as well as the motel.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and mobility issues. I had a ground floor room and while it was not a handicap unit it was very accessible.
The room had minor issues but was very welcome for two travelers and a demanding Yorkie. She loved having two beds to go from.
I checked out around 7:30 the next morning and Jay was there again. It was nice to be able to say goodbye and thank him for his hospitality. As I was leaving he even gave me a Merry Christmas. If I am this way again and need a place to sleep I will come back.
I see the negative reviews but my experience was a positive one and I believe Jay as well as Motel 6 should be recognized for that.
Job well done and thanks for a decent place to lay my head overnight.”

“Hidden gem this place was absolutely perfect. Rooms were modern and clean never heard a sound all night. Great pool and hot tub. Really nice breakfast selection in the morning. Well worth the price”
