“In a deadline rush, I decided I could push my leaking water pump by adding coolant and stopleak every few hours. Against advice and in my scattered mindset, I added a whole bottle. An hour later, my engine was overheated and I was on the side of the highway. Evening was setting in and my toddler was in the backseat. Thank God for Garrett and second chance. This man went through hell and back to deal with my water pump and cooling system. Pretty sure he didnt even make any money off me! He started work around 8 pm and before midnight we all realized the part from Oreilleys was missing a crucial beveled O ring. We called it a night and he drove me to the hotel! The whole time Garrett was calm and kind, even gave my toddler two race car toys and chips and drinks while we waited. The next day, Garrett said no one in the surrounding area had the O ring and they had to go all the way to Chatt. After install, it was a pain to bleed my coolant lines because of the model of my car and the stopleak. Despite all the troubles, Garrett never made me feel stupid or unwelcome. He was patient and a total workhorse. He treated me like a family friend. He is helpful to a fault. And very honest. If you want someone who cares about what theyre doing, treat you with total hospitality, and charge a fair price, go with Second Chance.”
