“On behalf of the Scott County Chamber of Commerce, we’re proud to recognize R.M. Brooks General Store as one of the region’s most treasured historic businesses. Operating for more than a century, this family-run general store has long served as a gathering place for both residents and travelers, offering simple goods, homemade meals, and a genuine connection to the past.
R.M. Brooks is more than a stop along the road — it’s a living reminder of how rural communities were built, where conversation happens on the porch as easily as commerce happens inside. We appreciate the care taken to preserve this landmark and the role it continues to play in welcoming visitors and celebrating the heritage of our region.”
“First visit to this Save A Lot in Wartburg, Tennessee. It is surprisingly big as it stretches to the right from the entrance pretty far back. I found this store to be very clean, very tidy and the staff seemed nice. The prices are higher than I've seen elsewhere here, but the quality seems good. Layout is concise and clean front to back. There's a pretty good selection for dry goods, but much better for meats.”
“Even though there's different owners this has been my neighborhood go to for so many years I can't count. Owners are nice, workers are great, and they have Hunts Brothers Pizza, whats not to like. They have just about anything you want for a corner gas and deli.”
“I absolutely love this dollar store. I come here everyday when I need something. I love the workers, they are very helpful, and kind. The store is usually kept very clean as well.”

“First visit to this spiffy IGA in Wartburg, Tennessee. It's quite expansive inside and I found a pretty extensive collection of meats and produce. As for dry goods, there isn't a humongous selection, but overall, it was spacious, and it was quite clean. There is a nice deli counter here as well. Staff were nice but looked kind of bored as there wasn't a lot going on here when I went.”
“*UPDATE* New owners! This place has been TRANSFORMED! Totally renovated inside, with tables & chairs added. The place is spotless, the menu has been expanded, & the food is great!
I was thrilled to find this great little store near my new house! The owner is a terrific lady, they sell beer & wine, the store has fairly long hours, AND it's even open on Sunday's, a real rarity in these parts. Also, the pizza here is shockingly good!”
“Very friendly and courteous employees, very easy to find what you're looking for, and speedy check-outs. The hourly staff are doing the best they can with a manager that is about to retire and don't care at all about the store leaving everything up to the assistant manager Angela Kreis to run it and actually the store is cleaner an more organized when the manager is gone”
