7967 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, TownsendMy love and I chanced by this great brewery and restaurant. We primarily came here after looking at reviews and seeing that they had goat cheese fritters. We didn't know that it was a brewery until we arrived.
We ordered a wonderful pig and pear pizza along with the fritters. The fritters were great! The pizza was equally delicious.
She ordered lavender lime kombucha and I had a wonderful IPA. We will surely stop here again if we're ever in the area.

The Abbey at the Heartland Little River Capel
7765 River Rd, TownsendWas looking for places in the area and saw this was highly rated. We stopped in before going to Cades Cove and tried their pizzas. I got their gluten free pizza and a family member a regular pizza and it was pretty good! We both tried the (I think) veggie pizza. I was surprised to find that the up charge for gluten free was only $.50 (that’s AMAZING by the way). We were able to sit inside and have a view of the river. While eating, we got to watch people tube down the river. I give 4/5 stars for service because we were confused about drinks, the seating arrangement, and whether we had to clear the table when we were done eating - no one really explained it to us. You order, they give you your cup and a buzzer and then you go find somewhere to sit. The staff was super friendly and we did not have to wait long for food. Will definitely visit again!
