Misty's Pet Depot
4500 Walker Blvd, KnoxvilleI have a very hyper standard poodle that needs grooming every few months. They've always been able to handle him, and his groomings look/ smell fantastic.Prior to this dog, I had another standard poodle, Buddy, that was a gentle giant. The last time I took him for a grooming he was pitiful. He was 15 years old and had trouble waking due to arthritis. Jimmy, (my favorite groomer) was so tender with him. He even carried my 75 lb baby boy to the car! ? That was an act of kindness I'll never forget!((RIP my sweet Buddy))I've used Misty's pet depot for years, going back to their previous location by target. Each time, I've felt as though they truly care for my pet, just as I do.Recently, I learned that they also offer boarding. This will be a Huge help to us during our next vacation! I'm excited to know there's a place I trust to keep my dog while I'm away.I'll typically find a new toy to buy in their shop as a reward for my dog after his grooming. But, they also have food, beds, leashes, collars, and other items for misc other pets. The shop seems to be a bit pricey compared to Walmart, petsmart, Rural King, etc. However, I'm happy to know I don't have to depend on the big box stores for my supplies. There's a good feeling when to know I'm supporting a small mom-&-pop store.

It's a R-R-Ruff Life
6313 Chapman Hwy, KnoxvilleI have a giant schnauzer and three mini schnauzers that I would never trust with anyone else except for Randa and It’s a Ruff Life. They go above and beyond all of my expectations every time they agree my fur babies. One time we were almost certain that she would need to completely shave, my giant schnauzer’s beard, which would completely change the look of the dog and she wouldn’t even look like a giant schnauzer anymore, but Randa Worked with her and was able to get all of the tangles out of her beard and not shave her down. I will never forget the extra time that she spent with her to make sure that I was happy.

Doggone Pretty Inc
449 Park 40 N Blvd, KnoxvilleI am so pleased with Doggon Pretty Inc. I took my dog last Saturday. He was there a long time but when we picked him up he had a beautiful cut. They also trimmed his nails, which has been difficult and impossible for other groomers. They said the long time was due to the fact they let him rest after any part of the grooming if he appeared stressed. They also said they noticed a stiffness in his right shoulder that might account for his reluctance to have his nails trimmed on that paw. Very professional staff. I will definitely take my doggie companion to them again.

4611 Mill Branch Ln, KnoxvilleWanted to give it a couple of visits before leaving a review to make sure I can do so fairly. And if you're reading this and don't bring your pup to Kat's then you're doing it wrong!
I can't compliment them enough on friendliness and warm atmosphere. Every visit, which we would just walk in for, they took my dog back right away for nail trims and glands, and were fast AND careful with my dog. She's a little skittish yet not once did anyone try to treat her like anything but the princess she is. Prices were very fair, less than taking her to the vet for the same thing, and less stress!
Thank you to the whole team there, me n Hazy will be back regularly for her pedicures! ?

I recently went to pick up my dogs heart medicine and saw that a staff member Michelle passed. I just wanted to say for me, she made that vet hospital. I would call to refill my pets prescription and she would always know my pet and ask how they were progressing. Village Veterinary Medical Center, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner
11301 Kingston Pike, KnoxvilleVillage Veterinary Medical Center has been absolutely wonderful to our family over the years. They took incredible care of our previous Cairn Terrier, Roscoe, treating him through diabetes and later thyroid cancer with so much knowledge, compassion, and thoroughness. I always felt confident he was in the best hands possible.
When the time came to say goodbye to Roscoe, the entire staff was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding during one of the hardest moments a pet owner can go through. Their compassion truly meant a lot to us.
After taking a couple of years, we recently welcomed a new Cairn Terrier puppy into our lives, and there was no question who we trusted to care for him. Village Vet was our first and only choice. I can’t recommend them highly enough — caring, professional, and genuinely devoted to the well-being of their patients and the people who love them. ?❤️

The Dog Wizard Knoxville
7212 Kingston Pike #100, KnoxvilleI as referred to the Dog Wizard by several people. My dog Stormy was assigned to Beth for the 14 day Jumpstart Board and Train. Beth is amazing. Stormy is reactive to other dogs while on the leash. Beth worked very hard with Stormy to break the cycle. I have had 2 weeks with Stormy to work with her myself. So far so good. Stormy graduated today. I look forward to the graduation support classes to reinforce all that Stormy has learned. I highly recommended the Dog Wizard for your dog training needs.

Off Leash K9 Training Knoxville TN
3511 Overlook Cir, KnoxvilleI had an exceptional experience with Kinzie in helping train me, in training my 2 German Shepherds. Both are very good dogs. We rescued a boy 2 years ago, and our older female, barely tolerates him. They both loved Kinzie. She loves the dogs, like her own. Of course, they know when she shows up, it means treats! I have learned to be more patient and I understand their body language better. She helped with our rescue, not be so crazy and run the fence, when our neighbor dogs are out. I have a lot of tools in my box, in dealing with many different situations. I highly recommend Kinzie in training your pups! ?

PAWZ Dog Services
410 W Blount Ave, KnoxvilleWe cannot say enough good things about Pawz! After a terrible experience at another boarding facility, we were so nervous about leaving Murphy anywhere — but Pawz completely changed that for us. From the very beginning, they treated him like family, and now both Murphy and our newer dog, Minnie, absolutely LOVE going there. The second we say “Pawz,” they get excited!
We loved them so much that we continued taking our dogs there even after they moved to a larger facility farther from our house. It’s 100% worth the drive. The staff all know our dogs by name, and it’s obvious how much they genuinely care about every animal there.
The activities they plan are incredible — crafts, treats, holiday parties, photo ops, visits from Santa, and so much more. Our dogs always come home exhausted from playing and having the best time.
Our dogs are our children, and since we don’t have family in Knoxville to help when we travel, finding people we trust with them was extremely important to us. Pawz gives us complete peace of mind knowing Murphy and Minnie are safe, loved, and cared for when we can’t be with them. We wouldn’t dream of taking them anywhere else!

Their team specializes in true behavior modification—not just basic training. They worked closely with our dog, but even more importantly, they taught us how to handle and guide him at home.
No shock collars, no prong collars—just effective, positive behavior work that truly makes a difference.
Lincoln and the entire staff are professional, patient, and easily the best dog behavior experts in the area. I highly recommend Balanced Paws to anyone who not only needs help with their dog, but also wants to build a stronger, healthier relationship.

Some history about the training center, it was originally started as a Hobby, and they (and the Dogs) competed in various sports in 1995. Some years later, they opened to the public and opened AK9 Training Center in 2001. Sandy is the proud owner of Dobermans. They have helped pets and their Handlers for years, pets of various Breeds. Sandy is very uplifting when it comes to helping others with their pets. They offer Private Classes to Dog owners. To my understanding, they also run a Small Dog Kennel as well to boarding pets.

Furry Friends Pet Sitting LLC
1803 Washington Ave, KnoxvilleOver the past decade, I have moved seven times and entrusted many wonderful pet sitters with the care of my animals. However, Laura stands out as the most exceptional pet sitter I have ever had.
From the moment I moved to Knoxville, my priority was finding a reliable caregiver for my elderly cats, and hiring Laura was the best decision I could have made. At the time, I was frequently traveling to Arizona to be with my father, and Laura provided not only outstanding care for my pets but also peace of mind for me. She ensured my cats received their necessary medications and sent me daily updates with photos, allowing me to focus on my family without worry.
Laura’s dedication to her clients—both human and furry—is unparalleled. One Christmas, Knoxville experienced a severe snowstorm; the roads were dangerous due to ice and snow. Despite these conditions, Laura went above and beyond to ensure my cats received their daily medication while I was away for two weeks. Her commitment and reliability in even the most challenging circumstances, speak volumes about her professionalism.
Beyond her unwavering commitment, Laura’s keen attention to detail truly sets her apart. Last summer, while I was in Arizona, she noticed that my cat, Ranger, had developed an ear hematoma that required immediate medical attention. Without hesitation, she contacted me and rushed him to the vet, and ensured he received emergency surgery the same day. My vet later told me that Laura’s quick action saved his life.
I am incredibly grateful for Laura and cannot recommend her highly enough. She is not just a pet sitter; she is a highly skilled professional and friend who treats every animal in her care as if they were her own.
