At the counter I met Sohayla - she was extremely helpful AND knowledgeable. She was so patient with me while I stood explaining all the allergies and hurdles I have been thru. One of my dogs is almost completely blind and they were so compassionate when I was handing her over to their care.
Both of them were in some great need of de-shedding and nail trims and they did an excellent job.
The price was great and the service was excellent.
I will most definitely be bring them back for maintenace, nail trims (they have walk ins for nail trim), and periodic full grooms.

They go above and beyond all of my expectations every time they agree my fur babies. One time we were almost certain that she would need to completely shave, my giant schnauzer’s beard, which would completely change the look of the dog and she wouldn’t even look like a giant schnauzer anymore, but Randa Worked with her and was able to get all of the tangles out of her beard and not shave her down. I will never forget the extra time that she spent with her to make sure that I was happy.

They also trimmed his nails, which has been difficult and impossible for other groomers. They said the long time was due to the fact they let him rest after any part of the grooming if he appeared stressed. They also said they noticed a stiffness in his right shoulder that might account for his reluctance to have his nails trimmed on that paw. Very professional staff. I will definitely take my doggie companion to them again.

Blackford Vet Surgery Referral

After a bad experience at an emergency vet my dog needed surgery to fix his dislocated hip. When I called Blackford and gave them the backstory they contacted the emergency vet to get records so I wouldn't have to. Day of surgery they walked me through everything, were very patient and took their time gaining my dogs trust. When I picked him there were no hidden charges, the bill was a little less than they had quoted (always nice), they gave me a tote with his medications inside, a reusable hot/cold pack, sling to help him walk, bag of pill pocket treats, pages of aftercare instructions printed and carried him to the car, set him up for the ride home. They even called the next day to see how he was doing.
I have never even gotten service like this for myself. ha ha.
He is healing beautifully and we did a hip toggle instead of an FHO (everyone wants to do an FHO and I never liked it) to do the hip toggle and save his joint was just another level of care. Most vets want to do the quicker/ cheaper option.
If you need special surgery, go here! They're worth it!!

After a terrible experience at another boarding facility, we were so nervous about leaving Murphy anywhere — but Pawz completely changed that for us. From the very beginning, they treated him like family, and now both Murphy and our newer dog, Minnie, absolutely LOVE going there. The second we say “Pawz,” they get excited!
We loved them so much that we continued taking our dogs there even after they moved to a larger facility farther from our house. It’s 100% worth the drive. The staff all know our dogs by name, and it’s obvious how much they genuinely care about every animal there.
The activities they plan are incredible — crafts, treats, holiday parties, photo ops, visits from Santa, and so much more. Our dogs always come home exhausted from playing and having the best time.
Our dogs are our children, and since we don’t have family in Knoxville to help when we travel, finding people we trust with them was extremely important to us. Pawz gives us complete peace of mind knowing Murphy and Minnie are safe, loved, and cared for when we can’t be with them. We wouldn’t dream of taking them anywhere else!

Ethan and Tristan used positive motivation to get my dog accustomed to where he could and could not go so fast and in a way that our pup actually enjoyed.
Being able to let our dog out back is a time saver and gives him so much freedom to enjoy our yard. The shields they put inside are life changing (not an understatement). We can use our kitchen now without our dog trying to steal food away when we take one step away from it.

Sandy is very uplifting when it comes to helping others with their pets. They offer Private Classes to Dog owners. To my understanding, they also run a Small Dog Kennel as well to boarding pets.
The AK9 Training Center is Handicap/Wheelchair accessible, their Staff is friendly & helpful.

Next Level Brewing Company
700 N Broadway, KnoxvilleWe stopped by Next Level Brewing Company while we were in Knoxville, and I’m glad we decided to check it out. This was a really cool little brewery with a laid-back atmosphere and a good selection of beers to choose from.
They had a pretty wide variety, so there was something for just about everybody. I liked being able to look through the different options and try something a little different than what you normally find at a typical bar. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were more than happy to talk about the beers and make recommendations.
The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and they had both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s the kind of place where you can sit around, have a beer, and just enjoy hanging out without feeling rushed. They also have a good amount of outdoor space, which is a nice bonus when the weather is cooperating.
Overall, we had a really good experience at Next Level Brewing Company. Good beer, friendly people, and a laid-back atmosphere made it a great stop during our trip. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in Knoxville and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys checking out local breweries.

601 Lamar St, KnoxvilleThe Bark has been a fantastic resource for socializing, training, and tiring out our 25ish lb poodle! Everyone is very friendly, and the prices are acceptable. They have an app for scheduling and messaging the team, which I love. The dogs have to go through a little social test and they must have vaccinations before they can be in daycare, and that made me feel more confident about leaving our dog in their care. We have also visited the beer garden and supervised our pup while he plays like a wild animal on weekends. The Bark is a great option for you as a dog parent!

I live an hr away so it was going to be a long day in knoxville. However, I didnt have to spend the whole day, they took in all 3 at once, saving me so much time. Thank you so much!!
