Dollar General in Abilene offers everyday essentials at low prices, including food, snacks, health and beauty aids, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, housewares, seasonal items, paper products, and more from trusted brands and private labels. The store sells alcohol, tobacco, and produce, and customers can save money with the myDG program. While many customers have positive experiences, some note issues with store organization and cleanliness. One reviewer mentioned the store being locked unexpectedly without explanation, causing confusion. Others described the store as being in disarray, with unstocked merchandise and clutter on the aisles, making shopping difficult. Despite these concerns, the staff are generally friendly, and improvements have been noted after recent store updates. Overall, Dollar General Abilene provides convenient access to everyday items but faces challenges with store maintenance and organization.
Have your SOS set before you go in? Check your shelf price and the price on the item, if you can find what it is your looking for, before you check out...that is if you do get lost and can check out. All in the crap in the way might just swallow you...

Manager was nice, but this is one of the trashiest dollar stores I've been in. It's always in disarray. 9/27/21 update: new employees, new store set-up- seems like it's getting better!
