“The young woman that was working there today is amazing. She had such a friendly, sweet, positive attitude. Promote this young lady, she is going to do well whatever she does. With the workforce as awful as it is right now it was refreshing seeing her attitude!”
“It’s like a mini wal mart. And the four cashiers I met here were extremely pleasant and helpful. I’ve bought a back pack, cream cheese, girl items, frozen chicken fingers, ice cream, Splenda, Coca Cola, paper towels, undies, water, tortillas (these are so good here). “I can always find what I'm going there to get at Family Dollar, plus I always get some things I didn't know I needed before I saw them there! This store is always clean, organized and nicely stocked. The employees there are helpful and knowledgeable about the products they carry and they have great working attitudes that make for a great shopping environment. The dude with the Blue hair who I believe is a manager is personable and pleasantly professional in his duties and I recommend saying hello to him if he's on duty at the time of your next visit! This Family Dollar is within easy walking distance from where I live and as an extra plus factor that will keep me coming back- THEY ARE DOG FRIENDLY. I don't walk anywhere in Abilene without my dog and I'll find some reason to take my dog for a stroll around the ' hood so I can stop at this F.D. location and buy some $1 instant coffee because I love it and run through it like crazy! I'm fueled by some Nescafe or Cafe Bustelo espresso packets! It keeps me going and improves my attitude & life in a large way every day! This Family Dollar easily gets the A++++ Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating from me! :-)”

“I visited the store around 3 this afternoon. Delilah was the 'only' employee working. The store was packed!!! She was apologizing to everyone in line. It was her attitude that kept the place running smoothly, in my opinion. She was rather quick checking everyone thru the line. Quality employee, to say the least. Outstanding customer service at its Best.”
“??♀️This Dollar General is close and convenient in my neighborhood and has a variety of affordable merchandise available for grab and go. It’s never really crowded either. Many times when I go, I’m one of the few customers there shopping . I’ve noticed some of the workers following me from one aisle, to another, possibly monitoring me, I guess. I noticed this because I would purposely move to another aisle and noticed that they were there in the same aisle shortly after I moved as if they were stocking merchandise and not stalking me. I’m not sure if this is something that they do with all or most customers, or just certain customers, but it’s pretty off-putting, offensive, and uncomfortable. Many times I’ve noticed that when I am ready to check out at the register, the workers disappear. Several times I have had to shout out to ask for assistance and if anyone was there because no one was around. This could’ve made it fairly easy for me to just walk out with merchandise. But hey ??♀️, maybe they wanted to test me after stalking me in the aisles?. I can definitely say that the workers normally are customer friendly. Whenever I do ask about an item and where I can locate it if I am having problems locating it, they are very helpful and I appreciate that about them. I just don’t like that they disappear when I’m ready to check out at the counter because it’s not like I can self check out. So, I find myself just standing around waiting and wondering when someone is coming to the cash register to check me out and this has happened several times. This very little parking in the very front of the store, literally just a few parking spots. The remaining parking is off to the side which feels a little on the sketchy side at night because the parking lot is not normally well illuminated nor do I ever see any type of security guards. This could partially be the reasoning behind them closely monitoring my moves when I’m shopping in the store, I guess??♀️.
Hopefully, this review will help shed some light on some needed areas of improvement in their overall customer service delivery and satisfaction.

“Go there all year around for cleaning products, fist aide products, decorations for varies holidays, cokes, milk, kids toys, home decor and many other products. At Christmas time they have many different family gifts to choose from.”
“I got the most terrific service from the lady at the register at this store today. It was an older lady with a ball cap on. But she gave me the red carpet treatment! She waved at me when I walked in. She helped me find the bathroom. When I couldn't find my flavor of monster drink she helped me find it she asked me how I was doing. I'm just not used to having such good service anymore. It was a real treat!”
“I go into Dollar General almost every single day.They are polite and almost always have what I need. Ms. Jennifer is especially helpful. Each time I go inside I am politely greeted with courtesy and a smile. I've never had to look for a sales assistant at the front counter either!”

“This location has the friendliest associates I've encountered among the Dollar General stores in my area. If I have one suggestion, it would be to keep the aisles clear of merchandising carts during the busiest hours of operation. Shopping becomes much like traversing a labyrinth when the majority of aisles are blocked by carts.”

“I honestly haven't been to a dollar general until this one was built next to my house. I'm from Washington state so we dont have dollar generals around there. We have plaid pantry which is the Northwest equivalent. When I found this out I fell in love with a convenient store that doesn't sell gas! I highly recommend this location as well. Its never busy and the clerks are fast.”

“This location is usually one of the cleanest one in town but I think they were having an off week. I came in and it was very crowded. Lots of empty shelves and such. They were stocking but it made it hard to walk in the aisles. I only saw one person working at this time and she was slammed. I assume because of supplier issues which is why the shelves were low. Like I said, they usually are leading in everything. I definitely recommend checking them out and seeing what they have to offer. They did have all of their or at least majority of their sales/last chance signs. Most of Abilene did not have those up and haven't been keeping up with it.”
