You can bathe your dog in a private room by appointment or there is another (still private) room for walk-ins. It’s very convenient that you can book a bath appointment online (or call as well). The products provided in the baths are of high quality and smell so good! Our dog is there so often, his photo is on their website!
They sell high-quality dog and cat food and even though they are a small business, they keep their prices competitive with the larger box stores! Very unique toys, treats, chews, and a doggie treat bakery too. The owners are very nice, helpful, and know their product lines well. They are always winning “Best of Amarillo” awards and rightfully so.
It’s always nice to support your local small businesses, but even nicer when it is worth it to do so!!! Even for people just passing through town, this is a great place to stop for all your pet needs!

The MOD was barking orders to people and never once acknowledged customers in the store.. you could feel the tension. Horrible experience, I probably won’t be back. And I’ve been a long time customer. You can tell it’s not a locally owned store anymore. Petco has much better service.. just not the food my fur kids eat. But I may switch them to Acana. So sad.
Update: stopped in grab some hot spot gel that Petco was out of and Myra welcomed me into the store and also rung up my purchase! She was wonderful and they are blessed to have her!

One leash I bought had a weak clasp, which I only noticed after returning home. When I went back, they replaced it without any argument. The shop can get crowded near the billing area, but the staff remains calm even during busy hours. That made the experience more comfortable.

I was hesitant to bring my dogs to a groomer because of a hot spot on my Aussie’s tail at the end of last year (probably caused by a change in shampoo or too close of a shave in his private area). Need Us Bark Us was attentive to both of my dogs’ needs, and finished the groom in an acceptable time frame (I wasn’t waiting till 6:00 for them to get done). Their coats were also fully blown out, so I didn’t have tons of hair floating around my house after their groom. I couldn’t recommend Need Us Bark Us more. Great experience! Will definitely have my business for the foreseeable future. ?

I could always tell when my dogs aren't comfortable, and they hate going to the groomer. My two dogs have been to unleash twice now and when I get them back they are the happiest I've never picked them up from the groomer with this response. Thank you unleashed for making my animals feel loved and appreciated It makes a big difference in the atmosphere, for the dogs.

The first was a 911 with our cat and they responded quickly with us dropping in- with care and patience- got him the urgent care he needed and fixed up! Our newest pup has some allergy issues, they got him in pretty quickly on a Saturday. It was his first time there. He is an American bully which most people are uncomfortable with. When we arrived a tech greeted us and treated my pup like best friends. Made him comfortable and settled his nerves. The tech in the room also treated him so kindly. The cheese definitely won my pup over. The Dr, who actually treated our cat too, was amazing! I had so many questions as I’m still learning my pups breed. He was patient , kind, and explained everything to my understanding. During the exam, neither of them were visibly nervous with my pup. My pup was so comfortable he let them hold him during the exam, no anxiety or moving. That alone showed me my pup felt safe with them. They got him fixed up with the right meds, gave me options and suggestions for his care and overall health.
Going to the vet you are always terrified of the bill and I was dreading it. Nope, so affordable and even with the meds, the cost was able to pay upfront. They don’t charge a fee for every little thing they do and they’re transparent about what you are paying for. We paid for the visit and the treatment. No surprises. The tech was so nice enough to walk us out so other dogs and people in the lobby wouldn’t react to my pup and it was successful. I would highly recommend Noah’s and we plan to continue care with all our animals. Thank you for caring for us!!

I had been to a couple of different vets whom were ok but not the care I expect! From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by the friendliest receptionist staff! We have become very fond of Shelby! We had never met her before and she has made us feel like apart of the family! My dog Vader and cat Kylo adore her! All of the Veterinarians at the clinic are top notch but the two I use are Dr Hardy whom had went to extensive lengths to help us with our very sick cat pearl! We will never forget her compassion and care and patience with us as we had to in the end make a pretty tough choice! And she is so good with our Vader! Dr Webb is incredible with our cats and my cat in particular Kylo truly loves her! From the receptionist to the Vet Techs to the Veterinary staff they don't just make you feel like money they make you feel like family! Of course things are expensive that's ti be expected! No great care comes at a cheap price! I will never take my pets anywhere but here!!

Fenrys, our precocious and stubborn golden/springer mix needed structure and groundwork we weren't able to get started. PROVEN K9 did a 6 week board and train for our pup. It was amazing. We were able to visit for our own training with him and Heather, his trainer, took him everywhere helping his budding reactivity.
Even more important, we have a special needs daughter that requires nursing care and many therapies. With people coming in and out of our home, Fenrys desperately needed proper training to provide a safe, interactive atmosphere for both dog and humans. Heather came and practiced during busy times at our house, giving Fenrys and our nurse the confidence they need to have a great day every day!
He now has the foundation for us to pick up with routine daily work that we can succeed at. Heather is particularly good at training the dog for their personality and the needs of the home rather than a cookie cutter approach.
With the lifetime support we feel great about moving forward with Fenrys an active participant in the family. Proven K9 also offers amazing deals on boarding where they'll do refresher work with your pup if you've gone through training.
We will absolutely be using them for any future dogs we get. They are awesome 😎

Le Chateau Pet Resort - Amarillo Pet Boarding
8150 SW 77th Ave, AmarilloOh, my goodness, it is always so hard to find a boarding facility I can trust. On a recent stay in Amarillo, we needed to board our standard poodle, and I am so glad I found Le Chateau.
We walked in with our pup to drop him off and could see a minor emergency was taking place with one of the dogs (nobody's fault) and could see the care and concern exhibited by the staff who quickly responded to the situation professionally and appropriately.
During his stay, they texted pictures of my dog playing, with updates on how he was doing (great) whenever I asked. He had been anxious the night before due to a fierce thunderstorm but was very relaxed and happy from his stay at Le Chateau when we picked him up. We were glad to hear the dog with the medical emergency is doing just fine as well.
I also loved the report card they provided at the end of our dog's visit - it helped us to know how he does when playing in a group which is great information for future reference.
The two young women at the front desk were very friendly, courteous, and helpful, and the young man that took our dog back was also very nice - I never saw our dog so willing to let us leave LOL Le Chateau will be our go-to boarding facility when we are in Amarillo - Highly recommend!!

She is a double blue merle who was born blind and deaf, and because of her disabilities and age, she requires careful handling and individualized attention. For years, I struggled to find a facility that truly understood her needs. At other kennels, she was often isolated, overwhelmed, or simply not given the care she deserved.
From the very first interaction, Good Dog Pet Ranch stood apart. They invited me to tour their facility — something no other kennel had ever offered. The ranch was immaculate, organized, and calm. The dogs were happy and well supervised, and it was immediately clear that this is not “just a job” for the staff — it’s their passion.
The dog handlers are exceptional. They are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely compassionate. They listened carefully as I explained Izzy’s challenges and reassured me she would receive individualized care. When she stayed for her first weekend, they sent photos of her safely interacting with other geriatric dogs, being gently introduced, supervised closely, and included instead of isolated. I was overwhelmed with emotion because no other facility had ever given her that opportunity.
When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and had even eaten her meals — something she had refused to do at previous kennels due to stress. That alone spoke volumes. I soon enrolled her in daycare, and now she wakes me up excited to go. She confidently greets the staff each morning, and it’s obvious she knows she is safe and loved.
Every team member goes above and beyond. They communicate about each dog’s needs, provide thoughtful updates and report cards, and treat every animal as an individual — especially those who require extra patience and understanding. Their professionalism, cleanliness, safety standards, and genuine affection for the dogs truly set them apart.
Good Dog Pet Ranch doesn’t just care for pets — they provide dignity, enrichment, and love. They have improved Izzy’s quality of life and given me priceless peace of mind. Izzy and I couldn’t be more grateful for this incredible team.

It's got a nice looking environment and super cool bartenders and patrons.
The green chili bacon burger from the food truck was fire, and the Frijoles Con Lima beer was a perfectly delicious pint to wash it down. I also had a flight from their solid selection.
The kids loved the fried pickles and cheese curds along with a game of Uno.
What's even crazier is the above and beyond support they provided when we later realized that my wife had left her phone there.
Can't wait to go back!

Vom Vollkommen German Shepherds
2330 W McCormick Rd, AmarilloWe've been fortunate enough to have been the parents to 3 shepherds from Vom Vollkammen. I can't say enough good things about Terry and her beautiful dogs! I can't imagine our house without a Shepherd in it. They are smart and funny and full of spirit and energy and make our family complete!
