About AFS Cinema
AFS Cinema is the best movie theatre and the best place in Austin to catch a modern indie film. It shows some of the greatest independent films from all over the world, including repertory series, new restorations, documentaries, and premieres. The cinema features an amazing selection of deep cut movies from all decades and newer releases, often with thematic retrospectives and special guests. It is a must for any film and cinema buff. The popcorn is good and there are free drink refills, along with a full bar featuring an amazing gin & tonic. The Candlelight concerts are also a must-see. Everyone working there is so kind.

I will always be thankful that I was able to experience Blue Velvet in an awesome theatre for the first time, as if it were released in 1986 again.

The event was worth going to! Loved how everyone around was dressed up either casual, or formal. I felt formal was best fit for the event, since it was the holiday, and it helps the performance feel more lively. I would do this again and again! Definitely would recommend to any of those wanting to try this out.
