This is definitely a good place to shop for a pair of boots, I bought my favorite pair of Lucchese boots here. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's worth visiting just to know what this integral part of Austin is all about. Many of the boots are priced for Congress Avenue, but occasionally you will find a special deal on something quite beautiful. It's worth visiting on a regular basis to see what might appear.

If you want a special, albeit expensive, souvenir from a trip to Texas, Allen’s definitely has what you’re looking for! Impressive selection of western apparel including boots, hats, and clothing from the classic western brands. Their staff was helpful and we walked out with some new shoes secured!

In terms of what they sell, everything is high quality and has artistry to it. A bit expensive but that’s expected, what isn’t however is how bad the costumer service is. I’ve gone a few times now when I am in the area and my mother knows it as “that store that harasses people”. it’s either they hounding you or they are ignoring you completely even at the cash register which is where I had my biggest issue because there was no way they didn’t see me right in front of them. Not even a hello once I finally got them to check me out. For a very touristy area I don’t think it’s a good stop if you’re not from here, especially if you’re there to just look around.

Fantastic choice of boots, hats and western apparel. Boots are not cheap, but they look like a lot of workmanship was involved in making them. Free Tequila shot or beer from the staff to help you decide! We bought a pair!
