Austin Child Guidance Center is a warm, welcoming place in Central Texas that provides accessible, high quality mental health services for children and families. A multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, family therapists and professional counselors offers individual, family and group psychiatric and psychological services, parental education, presentations and community consultation, and training for current and future mental health professionals. The mission is to empower children and families to thrive, and the vision is to see every family’s mental health needs met. For almost 75 years the center has been a gem in the community, offering invaluable support and resources regardless of ability to pay. New leadership beginning in 2024 is growing the reach into new neighborhoods and serving new families, making this an exciting time at ACGC.
Austin Child Guidance Center provides a professional and caring atmosphere for children and families of all backgrounds to receive therapy. They accept insurance but also have a sliding scale pay option, which I really appreciate. I highly recommend their services!

Staff are knowledgeable, compassionate, and creative. ACGC is the cornerstone child and family mental health organization of central Texas. They now serve young adults up to age 26!
