“Great little store. Love that things are being recycled and the deals are better than the dollar store. Theres a little bit of every craft. I've gotten puzzles, sewing thread, craft paper, holiday decor and paper, and small organizers. Will return often.”

“Absolutely LOVED the experience. My husband is a huge movie buff, he has knowledge on the producer, director, budget, location and especially composers. One of his favorites is Hans Zimmer, so when I saw they offered a quartet of Hans Zimmer composures, I jumped on it! It was beautiful, the Mansion is a perfect place to host it. It was a great date night, different from the normal dinner and movie. It’s not as expensive as you’d think. We’ll be coming back for other shows!”

“This is one of my favorite places in Austin. Good people, helpful advice, and doing an incredible service for their community. They have donated many, many bikes to youth at the non-profit I work for, and are always willing to go the extra mile. I recently took a bike in that needed repair, and they were so helpful teaching me how to repair it myself. Y'all are the best.”

“The Texas Pharmacy Association has been such a valuable resource for me as a pharmacist in Texas. What I appreciate most is how consistently they show up for our profession, not just in big legislative moments, but in the support, education, and community they provide.

Every interaction I’ve had with TPA has been positive. Their team cares about advancing pharmacy and making sure pharmacists have a voice at the table.

I’m grateful for the work they do and the way they bring pharmacists together.”

“My son, who has ADHD and Autism, has done wonderfully in the extended YMCA program and summer camps. They truly allow kids to be kids; they are well-equipped with plenty of staff and offer a lot of support for children with special needs. The camps and programs he was in prior didn’t understand him, made an issue about everything, and made him follow a strict schedule with out giving him any optional activities, while the YMCA has plenty of activities for your child to do. It’s a place where kids can be themselves, they are not put down, and they understand regular kid behavior as they don’t make a big deal about every little thing. I never worry about my child’s well-being and whether he is doing well. My child has flourished with these programs/camps. Most importantly he feels welcomed and safe. I highly recommend them, and my son is happy!”

“The Alliance has been great to work with, and granting additional time to complete updates. Since COVID, classroom options are no longer available in MT, which is challenging to stay on schedule via online classes. Also, due to unexpected health or family issues, are willing to work with individuals to stay in compliance. Much appreciated!”

“A Transformation Experience with Brian K. Marshall

Mr. Marshall, the Chief Program Officer at BCL, was truly amazing throughout my entrepreneurial program. He worked tirelessly to ensure we have the coaching, guidance, and education we need to grow and thrive. Brian asked the tough questions that made me think about my business on a deeper level. His financial analysis was incredibly insightful, and he provided actionable next steps that I could implement right away.

I am grateful for his support, expertise, and dedication. If you’re an entrepreneur looking for real growth, Brian is exactly the kind of mento you want in your corner.”

“I love this place! It’s an Austin staple that’s been supporting indigenous, chicano, and queer identities since the 1980’s. Resistencia supports the community around it so well and has a fantastic collection of books too ?”

“Incredible organization and complex. It really shows what can be accomplished when people get together for a common cause to help others in need. I have never been here and went to drop off bags made for their folks and I was so impressed I want to work there now.”

“A small but very popular chapel amongst the unhoused and those in need as well serving both breakfast from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and lunch from 11 to 12 pm,, I'm not sure if they provide any other resources but it never hurts to ask, the line for the food services does get long so I recommend you get here at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes early”

“I was chronically homeless for five years and became gainfully employed at Cava. However, due to the fact I was staying at an extended stay, I do not qualify for Community First Village.

I have a friend who lives there and pays $415.00 a month, while I pay $1,200.00 making $16.75 an hour.

The place is beautiful, the rule baring me from getting in, not so beautiful!

God bless everyone there, including the staff! Merry Christmas!”

“I haven't been to the North Austin YMCA in about three years. I remember actually applying to an executive employment opportunity at the location and I stopped through to see about a course offering back then.Yesterday I decided to pass through. As soon you walk through the entrance there's a customer service desk so YMCA members can scan themselves in, and patrons can be assisted by the front desk clerks. They're eager to assist as soon as they see you. In fact I received a free day pass and was told the next time I visit I would pay the customary $15 for a day pass. One of the first things I noticed is that the lobby floor is shiny and everything looks really clean. Patrons were steadily coming in with work out gear, and parents were escorting their children here and there. This was around 6PM and the parking lot had about 50-60 cars or maybe more. This tells me the community is satisfied with the services provided by the location, and both of my experiences were welcoming. Before leaving I actually browsed over a bunch of fliers on a table highlighting course offerings for children and adults. There's not much going on in regards to community building taking place in North Austin. It's good to see the YMCA organization in the area and doing a great job. Stop on through if you're in the neighborhood or visiting.”

“My son went to Sweet Briar from 2yrs old until he went to Kindergarten this year. He truly enjoyed going and loved all of his teachers. Ms. Maria, the center Director, is wonderful. She is responsive, caring, and very supportive. While all the teachers are great, my son especially loved Ms Jeanette, the Pre-K teacher. You can definitely tell that she cares about her kids. All in all, we had a wonderful experience! It’s always tough sending your kiddos away for the day and trust them in someone else’s hands, but we always felt comfortable and knew our son was well taken care of.”

“Lovely park and beautiful stretch of Walnut Creek with at least 2 springs. There was a lot of dog poop which my friend and I picked up but there was nowhere to deposit it until we got back to the parking lot.”

“We've been to many a thrift store in Austin and this is by far, my absolute favorite. Their children's book section is my favorite and I never leave empty handed out of that particular section.
Their last time we went there they had a random 25% off sale and they already had excellent prices! You will truly find the best treasures here. They had beautiful furniture too for very reasonable prices and a whole huge room of Christmas store type items!! The workers are all so lovely too. Highly recommend!”

“I had never heard or been to Big Austin until I signed up for a drawing they had. There are some awesome things I found out that go on around and in the place. Ms.Cheesie, thank you for making my time spent there worth while, it was great learning about what you all do there, and it was great socializing with you and others. Keep doing what you're doing for our community. We need you.”

“Our family feels so lucky to have stayed at the Ronald McDonald House. We were staying at a hotel before we got accepted at RMHC for the last week of our son’s therapies. Instantly we felt like we were staying at a cozy house! There are so many meals and the kitchen is stocked. Laundry detergent is provided and almost anything you’d need! They have a rec room and small library that is so sweet. There is a fitness room too and the toy room has tons of excellent development toys for kids of all abilities and ages. They also have a nice playground including adaptive swings which is gonna be great for our son when he is big enough! There is a grill too. All in all amazing experience, we felt so cared for and just shocked by the generosity of so many people including the volunteers!! Thank you to everyone RT one at RMHC!!”
