Fantastic organization for youth mentorship and outdoor exploration; I recently finished my first year as a mentor and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys adventure and wants to give back to their community.

About Explore Austin
Austin non-profit that empowers youth to reach their full potential through mentoring, leadership, and outdoor adventure. Explorers begin in the sixth grade and volunteer Mentors stay with them through high school graduation and beyond into their adult lives. Explore Austin makes a six-year commitment to each child accepted into the program. What makes this program unique is the length of time Explore Austin volunteer Mentors commit to their Explorers. Over the course of the program, each Explorer spends more than 1,300 hours with their Mentors and fellow Explore teammates, creating lifelong growth in character, integrity, courage, and grit.
