I will no longer be returning here! Everything’s price wrong and in the wrong spot. The employees are rude and walk away when asked something. Idk how they’re still in business with all this false advertisement. The lady in the picture below was disgusting towards us. I will not recommend anyone coming here. Better to take y’all’s money elsewhere.

I spoke to an Express Stylist via chat the night before I visited this store to buy my birthday outfit. It looked like a discount retailer bomb went off. When approaching the store, the gate was closed for the men's side and only the Women's side was open. Technically, both sides should be open. The store was messy and unorganized which gave me anxiety. Two sales associates were behind the register the entire time. One associate did show me an item I asked about but it was too big. There was arguing between the associate and a customer about returning an Express item bought online and the customer was told they could not return it there and if they were unhappy to call customer service. Note to self to never buy online and return it to the store. I left the store because I could not find the items the online specialist recommended. I just remember this store being chic and beautiful and now it looked like a discount wasteland and the store associates had the attitude of being over stressed at 10:45 in the morning.

Not sure what happened to this place. No sense of customer service. Needed to try on a dress shirt and was denied because they had already closed them down 30 minutes prior to the store closing. Not once was i approached and asked if I needed any assistance. The guys working were sagging in their jeans and the girls had serious stank face. I overheard them talking and saying they needed $600 by closing. Change the attitude and focus on the customers. Do what you get paid to do and sell. Leave the personal shenanigans for after work.

I was impressed with the customer service I received today at Express. I am so conditioned now to receive terrible customer service as the norm that I was quite pleasantly surprised to receive very good customer service during my purchase experience. An employee on the floor helped me to find an item that I had seen on the website and even asked a manager to help. And during checkout, the lady checking me out went above and beyond. She was friendly in a proper professional manner and genuinely seemed to care about me as a customer. She helped me with my rewards and to find a missing item I was trying to locate. I was impressed. There seems to be a lot of negative reviews for this location so perhaps they're trying to implement changes. Regardless, I had a good experience.

The lady manager that was working at the Barton Creek Mall In Austin TX between the hours of 3-5 on Sunday October 8th, made an elderly Mexican lady who spoke no English cry at the checkout stand.The customer wanted to use an expired birthday coupon from September and she asked for my help to translate. The manager never once looked at me but asked me to stay out of the conversation she told me she understood the customer and didn’t need my help but I told her the customer asked me to translate the manager then said she (the customer) just doesn’t get it and I said well if you turn your frown upside down and smile that’s the universal language in customer service for “I’m sorry, but I understand your frustration.” She then told me to leave her store and I said I will as soon as I pay $309 then I’ll exit gladly. The poor customer left in tears and I couldn’t wait to walk out.Now my only regret is having paid that much money and that adds to her success. If she could have simply smiled she could have made the customer felt heard. You can say “no sorry that coupon has expired” by exuding graciousness. That’s what makes a manager awesome. This truly ruined my day- being rude because a person doesn’t speak English isn’t okay… it’s RACIST.

I don’t shop at express often but after visiting the Express located in Barton Creek Square here in a Austin, TX on Thursday around Noon I’m less likely to ever return. I received terrible customer service from Jose. About a month ago I made a purchase at a different location and went to make an exchange and additional purchase. When I approached the counter Jose immediately appeared bothered. He did not speak first so I initiated the conversation. I told him I’d like to make a return and purchase additional items. I took the items out of the bag and the first thing Jose says is “why are the tags off,” in such a chastising and condescending tone. I didn’t think I needed to explain why the tags were off since I’d never been asked this question before. He continues to tell me that “all retailers require the tags to be on the merchandise if making a return.” I refuted this argument and told him that was incorrect and I’d never heard of such a policy nor was I aware that this was the policy of Express. After he continues this tirade he then says, “Ill make an exception this time.” At this point I asked him why was he castigating me over a pair of jeans and during the course of this exchange he never changed his tone nor apologized. Jose’s attitude was so poor that I should not have made an additional purchase. I should have returned it all and went to another competitor. However, even in spite of his petulance I continued to spend an additional $120. I have never reported someone to customer service but as a paying customer I deserve more respect than what I was given. In addition, I read the policy and it states the following.U.S. Return Policy We’re happy to accept returns for items within 60 days of your purchase with a valid receipt. If you do not have a valid receipt or if we cannot confirm your purchase in our system, you may exchange the item in-store for another item of equal value, but no refund or credit will be issued.• Shipping and handling fees are not refundable.• Items with “Do Not Remove” tags must be attached in order to be returned. Make sure you’re completely satisfied with your item before removing this tag.I confirmed with customer service that this only relates to items marked with tags that say “do not remove” which none of my items contained. So not only was Jose disrespectful but he was also incorrect. Express I expect you to make this right.

Look at the reviews at this store, either 1 star or 5, not really any inbetween. Oddly all the 5 stars give names, either friends of worker or something, yet all the 1 stars are like my experience, where we just walk out from the rude employees. Example, they had signs up for both 50% off & B1G1 on the same rack. Thought it was too good to be true, so I broke up their chit chat group and asked them if that was right, they said "no it's not". So why are the signs both there? "Because they can be".... Not that they were accidently left up or anything, just "Because they can be". Doesn't even make sense, so I just walked out... no names no nothing like the fake 5 star named friend reviews, this store is ran by rude employees and their friends. Bait and switch pricing like the other reviewers said too. Called 1800CS as the owner/replier to these reviews said, the 1800CS was nice and tried to offer me the listed prices to a credit on my account, but just told the 1800CS agent that it was just rude employees not putting up and taking down sales signs.Go to the Lakeline store instead, there you can see a fair mix of 1/2/3/4/5 reviews, not the fake 50% 5star and real 50% 1 star like this location.

Spent my whole lunch break waiting for them to open the store and then they said that they open at 12:30. Either fix your posted hours or open on time. It’s 2023.

Really bad customer service and the cashier it’s so rude they don’t respect the customer the yelling to Customer also they put a sign in the front they said 50% off when you purchase they will charge you full money don’t trust them

Governor Greg Abbott, Senator Ted Cruz, Israelis, FNC, TNM:UPDATE: There has to be a reason why the hideous looking male cashier was filled with such demonic rage towards me. Maybe find out who he really is, and who he's associated with? I bet this will lead to some powerful evil people behind all this...It looks like I had a couple (two) of female stalkers. One was a tall thin ash blonde Caucasian woman (20s) and the shorter Hispanic one (20s), from what I could tell. The cashier was quite ugly to me. I wonder why...Should I post this up to the police, Governor Abbott? And maybe also to the media, as well?

The Express store at Barton Creek Mall is run down and filthy. I remember a time when store managers and employees actually cared what a store looked like. Now people just complain about not making enough money and take absolutely no pride in where they work. The changing rooms need cleaning and a coat of paint (see photo). The store needs to be swept. Dust was piled up on the store fixtures. Baseboards were filthy. Several of the mannequins had no clothing (poor things just standing there cold and naked). I could go on. Pretty bad for a place that charges $90 for a pair of jeans.
