Don't want to knock the place down too much for the nonchalant bored guard at the door but he is the reason I walked up with a large donation of largely brand new clothing and just turned around. I guess the donation entrance is around the back of the building and I was at the front. He provided no more than a grunt and a nod.

Although this is one of my favorite goodwill stores - the employees are great and the clothing selection is usually 🔥 I will never condone spending money at any goodwill industries location - regardless of the quality of goods and services. Why? They are a "non-profit" that pays their employees -whom have few other employment options- minimum wage which means that their employees often still receive assistance from the state (a.k.a. taxpayers). This, along with their absurdly overpriced inventory which they pay $0 for, allows the CEO to make an average salary of $603,889 a year. And yet this passes for non-profit? It makes me sick to think about how many people genuinely think they are doing something good for humanity by shopping and donating to goodwill. Not only does it hoard business and donations from legitimate non-profit thrift stores, but also accepts cash donations that would be better off given directly to those in need. Even if spent on drugs/alcohol, anywhere would be better than in the pocket of a scam artist like Steve Preston.

Security guard was completely inappropriate with how he looked at me and talked to me. Someone in his position should not be acting like that. I was extremely uncomfortable as he tried to talk to me.

This Goodwill is located in the middle of a chain of businesses in a long strip center. To be honest this is one of the smallest Goodwill's in the Austin area and caters mostly towards clothing. Their entire shoe selection sits on shelving above all the clothing. They do have some shelves in back with pictures, lamps, TVs, electronics, toys, and glassware. They do have some furniture in the back corner by the bathrooms. And speaking of bathrooms, they have a funny rule where they are not allowed to be used until noon for some reason. I have to admit the crew here does keep the place fairly well organized and clean.

Good luck finding any deals anymore! They get everything donated but this place has jacked their prices up so high that you might as well buy new or go to yard sales.I heard 5 people complain about the prices in the 10 minutes I was in there.Do not go to Goodwill anymore.I don't care what y'all do.The prices have gotten crazy lately and everyone notices it.It's called greed! You get everything donated 100% free and I've seen items that are more used in your store than they are brand new.Be honest, you raised all of your prices because of people reselling and you don't want anyone to make a buck and you're response is straight corporate.

MUSIC IS WAY TOO LOUDother than that it's pretty overpriced for goodwill, Austin struggles with poverty, and the fact that goodwill of all places is expensive is very disappointing.

Prices are way too high, especially household items. Why get a used colander for $7.49 when HEB will sell me one for $5? Selection is mediocre at best. Goodwill is much better in Tucson. Not impressed with Austin.

Good selection. Decent prices. Lots of wall decor. Not much furniture.
