We reserved an electric car at Hertz, but when we picked it up it had only 20% charge, and there were no other comparable cars with more charge. Their cars also don't include any equipment for charging at home.

My wife booked and paid at the time of booking. She declined any add ons and I also declined add ons at pick up. They charged an additional $530 dollars on to my credit credit card. Hertz refuses to fix this.

Spent 5 minutes just sitting on the phone pressing buttons to try to reach somebody and never is there an option to just talk to somebody it's to press another button and then another button. What an unprofessional way to talk to your customers

This place is absolutely trash. Customer service is non existent. They lied to my wife's face and said they wait until the last flight comes in. Well I was on the last flight and nobody was there for me to pick up my rental. I had to sleep in the airport.

They have different faces towards different people. They looked at us expressionlessly without greetings or courtesy. They had a completely different attitude from others. I was very disappointed.

Rude, lied, did not abide by their own policies, and set us back. Do NOT recommend!

I have rented with Hertz and this is my first poor experience. As a Gold member, you walk and pick any car in the category you paid for. I like this process. The only complaint is that there was only one mid size SUV left and my receipt even had the vehicle information. The vehicle smelt of cigarette smoke. Initially I thought it was just a car smell. My family confirmed my suspicions.

Make sure you read your rental agreement!! I declined all add on products to my rental, but multi items were included after I verbally declined. The girl at the counter was very kind and this was most likely a user error but I did not double check that she selected the right option and now I am having to pay for multiple extras. Also demand that the gas is full before leaving with the vehicle. I didn't and was told it would be documented. It wasn't documented and now I am having to pay for the additional gas. A very afforable rental is now very expensive. Hertz has zero customer service to try to resolve the issue.

Put a reservation on a car, get to Austin and are told that there aren't any cars. The employees tell us that none have been returned! They say we can wait for as long as we want but none will show up because there are literally no cars on the premises at all.We, in line, ask what we should do and are told to just take an uber and maybe Hertz will reimburse the price. My husband and I have our toddler and ask what we're supposed to do about traveling with a baby without a car seat. The manager looks at us, shrugs, and repeats that there are no cars.At this point, people are leaving the line. But my husband and I stay put to figure out what to do. He's looking up airport hotels we can get to by shuttle, I'm trying to see if anybody we know who would have a car seat could give us a ride at 1am when our flight finally arrived. And what do you know, a few minutes later they ask if we want a pickup truck because they actually DO have a few cars. They weren't "LITERALLY" all out of cars at all. How bizarre. We had reserved a small to mid-sized vehicle but were given an extended bed pickup that was so large we needed to make three-point turns to navigate some smaller parking garages. Plus, with no trunk traveling with a baby and all of her accessories was very difficult. Too bad we didn't reserve a car, huh? Oh wait. But at least we were lucky enough to get a vehicle and a car seat. When a person who had already left the line and saw us getting a car was (rightfully) mad, the manager's story changed. They did have SOME cars but only two or three and they were being washed so the very few cars would come out slowly.Personally, that seems less like small semantics and more like a huge lie that would have affected whether somebody stayed in line to get their reserved car, but what do I know?We get out to our car and it's wet on the outside so we can't even put our luggage in the bed. But it's also dirty and full of trash on the inside. So clearly their definition of "cleaning" was spraying the car with a hose and hoping for the best. Seemed to me like something they could have done quickly and gotten through the rest of the people in line.We start putting the car seat in the truck and struggle with it. The instructions printed on the side for rear-facing don't work and the QR code to scan for instructional videos won't load because we're in a concrete parking garage. I go ask an employee for help and am told that they legally can't help me at all. Understandable, but do you at least have the user manual that came with the car seat so we can have the instructions? Nope, can't help me literally at all, just go guess your way through it. For safety.Ten minutes later we've given up on rear-facing and have finally gotten the seat to sit safely front-facing and the same guy comes up and tells us that they're closing and if we don't hurry up we're going to locked inside of the garage. He said this as if I hadn't JUST told him how much trouble we were having.Luckily we're just wrapping up and putting the baby and all of our luggage in the backseat of the truck cab (because again, the truck bed was soaked) so we didn't get locked in the garage overnight. The real kicker though, was that on our way out we noticed two things:1) The people who got the "we have no cars" car after us got the minivan we had originally reserved.2) There was a HUGE line of returned cars waiting to be cleaned.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY! What a SCAM! We prebooked our reservation ahead of time so that it would make the process easier as well as it was supposed to be a “deal” to pay full in advance. Come to find out that’s where they get you. When picking up the car we declined all insurance coverage as we pay a hefty insurance on our own that is a great policy so we are protected. Shika checked my husband in and went over the paperwork, he once again declined all addition insurance through them she reiterated the decline in coverage and said okay you’re good to go sign here. Upon returning the car and getting home our card was recharged AGAIN keep in mind we already prepaid for everything so there should not have been another charge. We called and they stated yes you elected to get the insurance through us. NO we specifically said we DID NOT want the coverage. Such a shady business and customer services of course they say the contract was already signed and there is nothing they can do. So here we have to eat another payment almost double of what the car cost just to rent! Horrible horrible horrible. Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else ANYWHERE ELSE!

Do not bother trying to call this location direct to speak to someone. They will not answer the call and the line will drop. I have called multiple times and still have not been able to speak to someone. No option to leave messages or request a call back.Update: I made my reservation through Expedia. I arrived at the airport rental desk just before midnight. The location closes at 1am. Upon arriving and speaking to the desk clerk, they asked for my ID and a credit card. I do not have a credit card as I do not want one, so I gave them my debit card. I was then informed they did not have anymore of the vehicles I had reserved because all I had was a debit card. The clerk tried to ask the manager if they could help me out with only the Debit card, and the manager told me, “ not with a debit card. You can Uber to your hotel and Uber back in the morning to see if we have vehicles for you then” and walked away. This was all the while I stood there and watched other people get vehicles or upgrades if they were out of those vehicles they reserved. But because all I had was a debit card, I was plan out of luck and nothing they could do for me.Frustrated I walked down to Avis. They were more then happy to help me without a reservation. They had no problem taking my debit card and I got a vehicle right then and was on my way to my hotel.Advise: do not use Hertz. Unless your a high priority client, they do not care about you. Go somewhere else fast.

This location is horrible. Specifically reserved a medium sedan. Did not have any of that type when I arrived on a late flight. 11pm at night they have a short range EV to offer me an I have a 180 mile drive to do and ZERO experience with EV’s. No instructions offered, no offer to do anything different other than for me to wait 1.5 hours to maybe get a car coming out of the wash area?? I made my journey thanks to being able to phone a friend who knew a few things and it did work out but with NO help from Hertz…
