I have been a member for over 40 years and got my account started at the first branch (on RAFB) and I realize many things have changed over the decades, but customer service at this branch is still very good and staff are nice. This branch NEVER seems to be crowded (which is nice!). This place (and company) is 10x better than any bank out there

There was a time long ago when this credit union was good, as a vet I have been with since the beginning and was always treated with respect. In the last few years the good customer service is gone for good. They cancelled the low APR rates on grandfathered credit cards and transferred to higher rates, fortunately there are other credit unions with better rates so I transferred to them UFCU and PECU (far superior service and rates at these unions FYI) So long RBFCU...and thank you for your lack of service!!

Worst customer "bank service" ever. (And I am not alone as this branch has the distinction of ZERO yelp reviews OVER 2 stars in the past 5 years, congrats!) Went there to cash a small check written from one of their customers. Was immediately told at the drive-thru that because I was not a member I had to walk into the lobby. After I walked in I stood in front of the four tellers (three of which had "see other teller" signs out and they were looking down at their computers not acknowledging me. Finally one looked up and was ready to "help" me. I laid down the signed check with my drivers license and she went to work. She informed me that I would have to fill out a form (name, address, phone, SSN, employment etc) in order to cash the check, OK whatever. So I did expecting to get my cash and THEN after all this effort and time she informed me of a $5.00 CHARGE just to cash one of THEIR checks like an ATM fee. Are you kidding me? I immediately told her this was ridiculous and it was very poor customer service and then left. (And btw RBFCU I saw your sign advertising a 5% 9 month CD and was going to open an account for $200K but after my experience you folks can forget about that forever.)11/1/2023: Reply to my review simply re-stated their bad policy of charging a $5.00 fee simply to cash a $200 check written on their credit union by a member that should have taken maybe two minutes. Another waste of my time reading and responding to it. RBFCU does not understand "customer service" at all and will pay the price by loss of members as well as potential new customers going elsewhere. Average yelp ratings of any financial institution of less than 3 on a 5 scale is total failure.

This is the worst bank ever it used to be an excellent bank now it is just trash. I have been trying to transfer some money out of my account and it always goes back to the fraud department even though my account has been open for many years and I've never had one problem with this stupid bank. I am absolutely disappointed. Disgusted and I regret being a customer of RBFCU. Don't you ever open an account here it is a financial trap.

Any bank that wont let you buy cryptocurrencies needs to end. YOU CAN NOT TELL ME WHAT I CAN BUY WITH MY OWN MONEY.

If I could give them negative rating I would. My mother passed in March. This is the hardest institution of the 5 she had investments in to get her estate settled. The departments within do not share information or talk to each other. I have had to give trust information and death certificates to 3 different departments. You can't talk on phone to them. You have to make an appointment just to talk on a closed circuit tv to their corporate office. Please reconsider investing in funds with this institution.

I have been with RBFCU for 10 years and had little problems. I even had multiple loans through the company, but this year I wanted to take advantage to the lower interest mortgage rates and decided to refinance back in June. My closing day was set to be Sept 9th and they said it could be done earlier. It is now November 5th and they are saying my refinance payments wont go down until January. They are impossible to get answers from and not helpful at all. October 11th I was told it would be closed in 10 days and the first payment would be December, but I guess they like lying to me and decided to push it back... I will be pulling all my accounts and taking my business somewhere else.

Entered the Lobby wearing mask and following social distancing. I was the only customer in the Lobby however the 'Manager' refused to help me citing 'Covid' policies and directed me to the drive through. It appears many businesses are using Covid as an excuse to make their work easier. If H‑E‑B can safely serve their customers what's the real issue with RBFCU? Very poor customer service which should not be tolerated. I'm cashing out and closing my RBFCU accounts after 7 years. I'll bet I can find someone with Customer Service as a priority to accept my business. Don't tolerate poor customer service. I won't.

Terrible customer service. Like other reviews before me, customer service is not practiced at this branch. The associate, Guadalupe, couldn't even tell me the branch managers full name. After coming from out of town, and not being told when I called that service was by appointment only, there were no customers inside the office; I was told the next appointment was 4 hours later; making this a waste of time. The associate's attitude was flippant and rude.

Husband was opening an account and he couldn’t unless I opened an account as well. I will never use it as I have my own bank. Talk about bad practices!!
