I think this was my first time shopping at REI. I wanted a specific shoe that I couldn’t find anywhere else. Everyone in the shoe department Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon were so kind,patient, and helpful. They took time with me to find the right type of shoe and size. I appreciate Kyla helping me at checkout. I wore my new shoes all day at work yesterday and then went for a run. I’m so happy with my purchase and the whole experience!

The people in this REI are just the best! What an absolute pleasure coming in today! The gentleman handling my credit card issue was wonderful and the women checking me out at the register was so delightful! She was so, so sweet and helpful. Their items are high quality and they stand behind their items. This is probably my favorite store, and I can’t wait to come back! Thanks REI!

Tony is a most excellent human being. Tony provided such patient and kind service to at least 6 other people in addition to me on Friday 08/22/25. Tony helped me to find inspiration in some shoes as well as your cycling department. Your staff also gave me a hand signed note pertaining to your Co-op benefits. Your front end staff are kind and informative as well. Bravo y'all. Thank you so very much. It's outstanding.

REI is the go-to store for quality outdoor gear and apparel. They carry top brands for hiking, camping, biking, and more. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help you find the right gear. The store is well-organized and has a clean, inviting layout. I also love their return policy and member benefits. Perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts!

We became REI members because of the promise of “100% satisfaction” and the flexible return policy that so many customers rave about especially regarding used gear like climbing shoes. I purchased a pair that unfortunately turned out to be disappointing in quality. After fewer than 10 uses over less than two months, I attempted to return them.
Despite the shoes showing only light wear and falling well within the expected use window, the store manager arbitrarily decided they were “too worn” to accept. It felt subjective and inconsistent with the experience many others have reported.
We joined REI with the understanding that the membership would provide trust and support for trying out gear and returning gear that wasn’t satisfactory. This experience left us feeling misled and frustrated. If the return policy depends on a manager’s personal opinion, it shouldn’t be advertised as “satisfaction guaranteed.”

I bought a bike from REI and it turned out to be a terrible experience. From the beginning, it had issues — the gears would shift on their own while riding. We took it in to get it checked, and they said they would fix it, but clearly, they didn’t because the problem continued. We went back a second time for the same issue, and still, nothing was resolved. Eventually, we decided to return it because it was just a poor-quality bike. I recommend going with something more reliable — this store really let us down.

They sold me a $120 swimsuit like this... Unfortunately, I didn't notice because I never thought this could happen at this price range! I'll never go there again!

Leah and Mike in the bicycle department were awesome! They went above and beyond to help me with all my gear and took the time to make sure everything was just right. Great service and a great experience!

Didn’t buy anything as they didn’t have my size. Brianna was super helpful and brought me 5 different Merrill sizes, super patient and called to reserve some shoes for me in downtown that were the correct size!

I love REI but I do have to say that this particular store is below average for REI. Unfortunately REI closed their beautiful Round Rock store.

The co-op model truly shines here—every team member acts like an owner, and it shows in the level of care, professionalism, and pride in the store. From outstanding customer service to top-tier product selection and a clean, well-organized presentation, this location sets the bar high.
Companies that take shortcuts with their employees—rushing vesting periods or minimizing support—can’t match the kind of excellence that grows when people are genuinely invested. REI’s approach is proof that when you take care of your people, they take care of your customers.
Great job to everyone working today—you all made my visit a great experience. Keep leading by example! A+

Eli in the shoe department is so freaking awesome! He had more patience with me than my own husband did! Lol!
