This place is one of a kind. Great shakes and food. Classic restaurant!

The outside seating area is pretty run down. Not sure how I feel about the burger but I know for sure the dipped cones scream delicious! ?

Local hamburger and frozen custard staple. I've been going to this place for 40+ years. Drive thru and outside dining. Specials on Thursday and Saturday. Swim at Barton Springs, then stop by for dinner and a cone. Nothing better in Austin!

Their vanilla custard is simply amazing. There's nothing better than eating on the curbside of Sandy's and watching fellow Austinites get their burger and/or custard on! Sandy's is cheap, quick, and tasty! It's a drive-thru or curbside burger joint that serves old school burgers and the fries, like it used to be back in the day!
