Shalom Austin Dell JCC is a stunning and beautiful community center that serves as the hub of Jewish life in Central Texas, though membership is open to all. It provides a friendly, welcoming, and kind atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. The facility itself is elegant, wonderful, and very well put together, rivaling more expensive gyms. People are super nice, creating a sense of community where individuals can build friendships, improve physical fitness, and attend programs with family and friends. A central and cherished feature is the Early Childhood Program (ECP), described as a wonderful place and a true family. The staff, teachers, and administrators are amazing, kind, gentle, patient, and loving. They know every child's name and provide care and concern for all families. The program offers great structure and a fantastic curriculum where children learn a variety of skills, from writing their names and counting in various languages to performing and understanding Jewish culture. The ECP handled challenges like Covid wonderfully, making families feel safe. It is a place where children are treated with kindness, given space to grow, and form special bonds with teachers, making it a heartbreaking and bittersweet experience to graduate. The Dell JCC is a place that empowers and helps many, fostering a strong and supportive community.
Staff was very security oriented, which is a good thing. Everyone was personable. The facilities are new and nicely laid out.

I've been an active member of the JCC for seven months, attending many of their excellent workout classes each week. It's a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, and the new facility is as elegant as any of the more expensive gyms in town.
