Good acoustics. Only downside is that seats are rather narrow, not surprising in a 100 year old theatre.

Do something about the sound in both theaters!!! PLEASE!!!! It is atrocious!! WAY TOO LOUD, and as muddy as it gets. Impossible to hear the dialogues. As much as I want to support y’all, it’s just unbearable. Hope this gets some attention … 🤘🏽

We always enjoy the shows at the Stateside. We like the smaller venue and the seats are comfortable! A good show at the Stateside is just what is needed to convince us to enjoy a nice dinner and show downtown!

Went and saw Boney James at the Paramount in Austin Texas. Besides being an outstanding show, the venue was gorgeous. Just a beautiful old theater that is in very good condition. If you're ever in Austin check it out, you won't be disappointed.

The Stateside is the smaller theatre of the Paramount showcasing small productions in a theatre resembling an old fashioned single movie cinema house. Even with its smaller size it still fits a lot of people and great view of the stage. There are single gender neutral restrooms and a small bar in the lobby. It has stadium seating and cushy chairs. The place has character but not as extravagant as the Paramount Theatre.
I was here for the ATX TV Festival Season 13 for the Interview with the Vampire: Season 2 Screening and Hacks: Season 3 Finale Screening. The sound was not the best but fine with me.
This venue requires a clear bag and no drinks or food allowed inside. Parking can be found in the nearby parking garages or valet your vehicle next door either at the Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin or Stephen F. Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel.

Staff is friendly once inside. Room acoustics aren't great, but the crew there does a great job making the space look and sound great. The only real issue I saw was the stairs that run the length of the performance space on both sides. Many people, but especially older folks really struggled to negotiate them in the dark.
