This store had everything I needed, it was organized well. Edan helped check me out and he was very friendly and wrapped everything super well so I didn’t have to worry about anything breaking. He has amazing customer service!

They have lots of stuff, but it feels cramped and the employees are trash. One was unable to help, several never offered, and the young lady at the checkout ignored the people in front of us for several minutes until I said something. Those folks actually just needed to pickup an order, which was done elsewhere, so we waited for nothing, and then the cashier had a bad attitude. I'll probably never return.

I've been shopping at The Container Store since I was a senior in high school, so I've got expectations when I visit other locations. The Austin location met the standards.First, this is the original storage and organization store, so there are many other places that now offer something similar or a knock off. Are some items on the high dollar side? Depends on your budget, but I'm still rocking with products I purchased in 1999. You get what you pay for.This is one of their older stores as it's much smaller than the newer locations. The staff is friendly and cordial. And their custom closet team knows their stuff.It's the holidays and I love getting stocking stuffers and cute gifts here. I advise you to purchase early. Once it's gone, it's gone! Overall, a great visit.

After messing around with the interactive build your closet tool on the Container Store website, I was only able to build on three of the four walls. I finally gave up and my fiancé and I decided it would be best to make the drive to Austin to get a better feel for Elfa and what options were available. We meandered through the displays for a couple of minutes when Gary approached us and asked if we needed any help and we are soooo thankful that he did. We gave him our dimensions, I showed him my sketches and he quickly whizzed through the computer software and designed a closet that maximized our space and saved us a bunch of time. His knowledge of the product, ability to understand our needs, maximize our space, and navigate the computer software was impressive. He was friendly and personable. He made all the difference in our experience with the Container Store.Thank you Gary! We love our new closet!

I often dread going to this place because of how busy it is. The last time I was there, Allan was kind enough to take a moment from their busy schedule and help me out. I didn't feel rushed, and Allan was extremely kind and made sure I had everything I needed. Thank you so much!

Ordered online for pickup. A couple hours later, the status changed to delayed. Chatted with support to see what was going on, and they said they called the store and they were actually actively working on it. I asked specifically if I headed over, would it be ready, and in no unclear terms they confirmed that my order would be ready when I arrived. This would prove to be a complete lie. They didn't even have what I had ordered in stock.The person who assisted me in store was very professional and apologetic. They did a great job.I wouldn't have had any issue if it wasn't more than a stock error and chat support told me that from the start, but chat simply lied to avoid canceling my order only to make me go all the way to a brick and morter to do what they could have done in an instant.

They will not honor the returns policy for defective products, specifically a chair with a bad weld that tore open. The clerk said it should be a no-brainer return, since it was within 90 days and I had the receipt, and took the chair. Instead, the manager told me she would only take resalable merchandise then started name calling when I pointed to the return policy.The manager did not return the (broken, week old) chair nor would she process a refund. The corporate call center pulled up the purchase without issue but refused to process the refund because I no longer had the chair and could not provide photos of the damage. They did say the manager's conduct and language was unprofessional but claimed I needed to await a callback that hasn't occured to file a complaint about that.I had to file a charge dispute with my credit card to get the broken, returned chair refunded.

I have always LOVED The Container Store but have noticed store organization and customer service slipping my last few visits. It has definitely become more difficult to find help from a staff member and the checkout lines are long. Also, every time I go there seems to be boxed merchandise choking the aisles making navigation difficult. The latest store rearrangement is far less logical than previous versions. Why is the travel section in the same aisle as the hooks and hangers section? Overall, the store was messy and disheveled. Boxes of new merchandise should stay in the backroom until staff are ready to put it on the shelves. Finally, I am finding the mix of products offered less appealing than pre-pandemic. For one, many of the lesser expensive basic items seem to be gone. In their place are expensive designer items that are more pretty than utilitarian. Second, an inordinate amount of shelf space is being taken up by the more expensive products. Do we really need an entire aisle (both sides) filled with "Stacks" jewelry boxes? Similarly, there do not appear to be any moderately priced, basic hangers available other than the store brand plastic tube hangers. Also, the inexpensive plastic drawer dividers for socks/underwear were gone with only expensive cloth options available. What made The Container Store great was the wide range of price points in their merchandise and the ability to find BASIC storage solutions at reasonable prices. While I understand that there is a higher profit margin on the expensive designer stuff, there needs to be a balance. Otherwise, I will be container shopping down the street at Target instead.

Great for place for storage essentials, great staff and customer service. Prices are pricey but sign up for emails for deals and you'll be alright. It's a good option cause they have everything!

Great shopping experience today at The Container Store. Martha assisted me with purchasing a carryon suitcase and some travel supplies, as well as receiving a multi- use 25% off coupon. She went above and beyond. I had gone to 3 stores looking for a carryon before ending up here. Really pleased with my purchases.

Some pretty cool items - most importantly we found exactly what we were looking for! Unfortunately due to how off putting one of the employees was we will not be returning. ((Smile-less “can I help you” with rude tone, persistent staring, and just awful vibes = you don’t look well off enough to shop here so you must be doing something wrong. Yikes lady. Back off))

ZERO STARS to the Container Store for not allowing customers to unsubscribe from their spam, promotional emails. I’ve “unsubscribed” twice, but the emails keep coming every day. Nearly every other company I’ve dealt with allows me to unsubscribe, but the Container Store has decided to skip on corporate ethics.

The staff work tirelessly to sassist all customers, but do the haughty, greedy, and selfish take notice? Of course, N?T!The selfish men and women I encountered do N?T like to wait their turn, so they skip "minorities" while they STAND in line for the next available cashier.As I held a well designed woven basket in my hand, it began to unravel.I lost my desire for overpriced goods long ago.I bought storage bags but returned because they would've caused mold since plastic doesn't breathe.I was skipped again, waiting in line for an available cashier.??Father, forgive them because they know N?T what they do. In Jesus' name. Amen.I didn't let those who skipped me bother me, but The Container Store lost my business.Madness and mayhem is N?T, my idea of a peaceful birthday weekend!

I love the container store in general but I will continue coming back to this location specifically for one of their employees named Laci. She has helped my boyfriend and I on two separate occasions (when we came back the second time a few weeks later she remembered us and the items we purchased the first time). Laci is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. We're getting our house ready for a newborn and while we're overwhelmed and feeling lost it's nice to have a reliable (and super sweet) person helping us get the best items. We'll definitely we back.
