Uncommon Objects is a unique and eclectic store that has been around since 1991. Originally a small antique collective, it has grown into a large emporium filled with one-of-a-kind items that reflect American culture and history. The store is often described as “your eccentric uncle’s attic on steroids,” offering a wide range of quirky, weird, and interesting objects. It is not a museum, as all items are for sale, making it a great place for collectors and those looking for nostalgic or sentimental treasures. The shop is beautifully organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Visitors enjoy walking around and discovering odd objects, natural crystals, and unique gifts that are often rare or hard to find elsewhere. The store’s atmosphere is fun and vibrant, with a cool vibe that appeals to those interested in vintage, antique, and unusual items. Prices can be high, especially compared to other shops, but many find the experience worthwhile to explore and decide on their own value. There is also a public restroom, which is appreciated by travelers. Overall, Uncommon Objects offers a genuine, nostalgic, and sometimes quirky shopping experience that is worth a visit for anyone interested in discovering treasures from the past.
Very cool place! So much to see and buy. Or sell your stuff to them. Make sure to check around every corner because you never know what is in it.
