“This store is severely understaffed. I was trying to buy a washer/dryer and fridge. I had to wait a long time, but it turned out to be worth the wait. Ms. Perla Cervantes helped me. She took her time to explain everything and assisted me in selecting the items I needed. I ended up spending a little less than I had expected but got all the features I wanted and a good delivery date. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to, especially since it's right before the holidays. She was awesome. However, HD, you need to provide her with some assistance.Regarding the store, I purchased three smart locks, all supposed to be silver. Unfortunately, one was black and another was missing the keys. Smh. I returned all three. It seems like these contractors are swapping out new items with old ones and stealing their heads off. The store was full of them, so especially in this store, make sure to thoroughly check anything you buy that appears to have been opened. Despite that, I didn't deduct any points for that issue. HD, shout out to PERLA though. She's an amazing employee!! Oh, and I can't forget about her supervisor, the Navy guy. I was trying to take advantage of a promotion, but I didn't understand the terms because I didn't read the teeny weeny tiny print. He was very understanding about it and we wound up laughing it off.”

“I went in to see if they could help me with the little batteries that went into my key lock on my very old Honda. Neither key lock worked, so I was hoping that it was just the batteries. Mark took the time, had to use several screwdrivers to even get the top off, and did find my batteries and replaced both. I was so, so appreciative, since if I had gotten the batteries off of the shelf, chances are, I wouldn't have been able to get the back off to replace them. So nice and patient and friendly, and was so kind to help out. Thank you for your time and expertise and help! What a great place and great staff! Thanks again, Judy Hawkins”

“Let me tell you all something....this plant shop is THE PLANT SHOP. Not only do they have hard to find plants...but they also have the best quality of plants AND THE BEST PRICES. This is a little Ma and Pa shop and it is very obvious that they take extreme pride in their business. I have been going to Suburban plants for a little over a year now. I have never once been disappointed. The shop is always kept nice, the product is always top notch, AND the kindness of the staff is unmatched. I would drive out of my way again and again to come to this store. The wife (as I have been told) is constantly going to plant conventions to find the best plants. The husband (I think) is always offering to help me load things into my car, or taking plants out of my hands to hold them at the front. The two of them are so educated on each plant they sell. I was just there with my daughter to buy a couple of plants. When I came up to the counter the cashier (who I believe was the owner) answered all of my questions. She also took the liberty to trim up my plant to make it look its best. I LOVE THIS STORE. Go and check them out.”

“really nice garden shop but what made it really memorable was Bee, she was so friendly and knowledgeable about plants and her genuine love and care for plants taught us a lot about how to take care of our own current and future plants. We will only buy plants from here on. Thank you Bee”

“Late review from a purchase I made here back in May or June.Don Joaquín was great! (His an older wise gentleman that walks around the nursery, at first look he look serious but that’s just how he is but he is actually nice man)This was my first time going there looking for to get a grapevine. I could not find anyone to talk to to ask for a price so I kept walking and looking and asking people there that were looking at plants and no one knew. I then saw Don Joaquin (who I did not know he was the one in charge and the owner). I walked towards his direction and while he was looking down with his hat on and turn towards my direction and began walking looking down with his hat blocking his face. I stood in front of him, I introduced myself and asked him how I could purchase a plant here? He responded with humor saying, “….pues con dinero…” (with cash).Side note, he speaks both English and Spanish.I then told him, I mean where do I pay or with who do I talk to? And that’s how I met Don Joaquin. He has a dry sense of humor and looks serious but he is great at what he does. I asked him about if he sold grapevine trees and told me that he was actually out since their season was over (spring season) but the he said “actually I think there might be one left somewhere in the nursery, if you find it you can take it for free.”At the time I did not know grapevines actually grew in warm hot weather, which is the reason I did research and went to look for them at nurseries to see for myself but I was excited to find one and own one but was not sure if this was another joke and Don Joaquin was just playing with me so I said, for real? So you are telling me there is one more left and if I find it you will let me take it for free? Because I could not believe him and I asked 3 times. He responded with, “…when I tell people I’m being serious I’m being serious. Look I will show you…” So he just went and showed me where it was and since I actually did not find it I told him wanted to pay for it because I had agreed to his challenge. He also was very generous and offer me to take other types plants that were out of season for free, I only took one blackberry type of vine.We then converse for a bout 10 minutes about how to care for the grapevine, how I can propagate it and about his time in business and feedback from his long time customer and outcome his clients had with the plants, trees, flower, etc they bought from him. He even offer me water and also a cold one for free since he was about to close for the day but I passed on that haha.”

“I've been a general contractor for over 25 years I work with several different companies their customer service, pricing and workmanship are top notch! They did an installation for me and knocked the whole job out in one day! We are talking 60 plants and some very large palm trees. I couldn't be happier, highly recommend!”

“I would like to take a minute to thank BRIAN in the plumbing department at this Home Depot. He made my shopping experience better than I even could've hoped for! I walked in all stressed out and unsure of what I needed in order to fix my leaking shower faucet at home. It was leaking so badly, it was a constant stream of water pouring out and I currently have the water main shut off in order to make this repair. I was looking at the faucet cartridge replacements when Brian walked by and asked if I was doing alright. I said "well, I'm not sure" and proceeded to explain to him what all was going on with my shower. He went out of his way to make sure I was getting the correct part, compared it to the model faucet which I confirmed was the same as mine, and went and got me a discount since my cartridge was from Home Depot, not too long ago, and had worn out. Mind you, Home Depot isn't the manufacturer of the part, they are just the supplier. The part I needed is made by Delta but nevertheless, Brian made sure that I was taken care of and given a discount to boot! He didn't make me feel stupid or act annoyed that I needed his help. He also didn't talk my head off or lecture me about whatever it is I was replacing. He was very genuine and down to earth. Best Home Depot experience I've had to date and I come here 50+ times a year.”

“The tool rental part has so much to offer and FRIENDLY service, quick an easy, credit card needed, we rented a snake and was charged 60.00 for 4 hours, got the job done within that time, a plumber probably would have charged triple the amount, God knows we are not professionals but Google knows everything ? ??”

“I’ve been using this Home Depot store for a many years and Bernard and Henry are such a treat! They are so helpful, mindful, and knowledgeable. They are definitely an asset to this location. It’s nice going into a hardware store as a woman and not feeling like I’m given the run around. A few good laughs make it even more enjoyable to run across them. Thank you guys so much!”

“If Skillman Home Depot ever goes to war I will put on an orange apron and ride at dawn with them. I love this Home Depot (specifically the garden department) so much it’s unhealthy and I should probably talk to a therapist. I had the BEST interaction today. I was looking at a clearance patio table and a worker shouted across the store, “How much is that?” I thought, ‘It beats me I don’t work here’ and he shouted, “look at the yellow tag” and I shouted back “29” and he shouted, “how much are you willing to pay?” Life has really not prepared me for this situation at 8 am on a Sunday and I thought the correct answer was “29”. I was wrong. He chirped back, “Will you take it for 20? I’ve got five Christmas trucks coming in this week and we need the summer stuff cleared out.” We bantered back and forth a few times and he was having so much fun and you could tell he loved The Depot even more than I do. Long story short I now have a table I didn’t really want, but it’s suddenly my favorite little blue table. I will always look at it and think about what exceptional customer service looks like; deviating from the script of mundane interactions and taking a moment to have a special and fun interaction with a customer while accomplishing the goal. It made my weekend an absolute delight. Home Depot already gets a chunk of each pay-check I get, but do I need to re-write my will and give them my first born? At this point we’re basically family. Thank you Home Depot for being yourself. Also, PS, I hate orange - so that orange apron I’ll wear for you is really saying something.”

When I tried to call to tell the manager about how helpful and honest Diamonte is, I got stuck in a phone loop for 6.35 minutes and then got disconnected. Hence the only 4 stars. Promote people like Diamonte. Work on your management department.”
