“Huge shout out to this HEB pharmacy. It’s really exceptional. Staff is always helpful and kind. Transferred my Rx’s over about a year ago from a big name pharmacy and couldn’t be happier. Prescriptions are ready on time or earlier, good communication between update calls and HEB app, and staff is alway professional.”

“Good place to go for your supplies. Apart from the fact that there are other stalls such as a telephone store, there is also a place where you can fix your car keys and controls and they also make copies of your house keys.”

“Jose F. is a great cashier always fast, polite and neat. And always has a smile on his face even when he's put on the register near the exit where it's hot.”

“Joe V's is a decent discount grocery store. They have some name brand products but mostly off brand. I short it a star because there are always so many people in the store. It makes the shopping experience less enjoyable and can be overwhelming.”

“Aldi's is a great choice for groceries, they have most of the essentials for food and drinks. There are some items they don't have, but for someone like myself they have what I really need. And the prices aren't bad and you will pay way less than Walmart here.”

“I make the trip from Austin to Pyburns every month for a reason — unbeatable quality, great prices, and outstanding customer service. They truly have everything you need to elevate your cooking game. Trust me… it goes DOWN in H-Town at Pyburns!”

“I have found what I have been looking for! I moved to Austin 30 years ago when you could still get a decent taco for under $1.99 (my place was .99 for al pastor or fajita at the La Moreliana)...then Torchys Tacos little trailer blew up into multiple stores charging WAY too much and the taquerias in Austin followed suite. I moved back to Houston and found the same here EXCEPT EL RANCHO! Firstly the food so far is amazing! I want to try everything but I keep going back to the barbacoa and carne en chile rojo. Amazing...and on Tuesdays THEY ARE $.99 PER TACO. OK , they are the smaller tortillas but they put enough meat on there for 2 tacos. As a matter of fact ,I buy their warm packet of tortillas that I need at home anyway and make 2 tacos out each one I bought. So 4 tacos for $2 (and a couple of cents for the tortillas)! I am salivating as I type this,LOL.”

“During the 2yrs of covid pandemic, my boss asked me to get groceries for needed families, he recognized the struggles of families around us, Mr. Jim Godwin generously allocated funds each month to purchase groceries for ten families, most of whom were laid off or facing severe financial difficulties. His kindness did not go unnoticed—many elderly individuals, who were especially vulnerable during this time, also benefited from his compassionate efforts.

Through this initiative, we were able to distribute essential food items such as fruits, vegetables, dairy, and pantry staples. Each month, they would come to my garage and pickup the bags of essential foods purchased at Aldi's, the support provided by Mr. Jim not only relieved immediate hunger but fostered a sense of connection within the community. Recipients expressed deep gratitude, and it was heartwarming to see how these small acts of kindness provided hope and comfort in difficult circumstances. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be a good Samaritan to others.”

“I prefer heb over Kroger any day.
I stopped at the restaurant outside because Friday they have any fried basket is $6. The shrimp was really good, but the fried fish was so salty I could barely eat it. I scrapped off all batter I could and that helped, but I'm not sure I will ever eat there again”

“I recently visited the supermarket to buy vegetables and the unique warm bolillo, I discovered the optics they have inside, it was a great surprise! They offer amazing deals on frames, so I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. The attention was excellent; The staff is very friendly and professional, helping me find the perfect model for me. I loved the convenience of being able to do my regular shopping and also walk out with new glasses at a great price. I definitely recommend it!”

“This is a good store to shop at... but be warned the people that shop here are rude with no manners... This store is not for people who get annoyed by a lot of rudeness”

“This shop is small but definitely has a great selection. I didn’t know what I was looking for, but, I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with things that felt like home, Jamaica, and so I just grabbed some things. I particularly was looking for the Grapefruit Tings, and they definitely had more than enough. Prices are very reasonable. I had a lot of questions when it came to pricing, and was helped with those promptly. I told my coworker about this store, who Trindad. There’s a shirt I seen that I really want for him… so I just might be back.”

“I want to reply to those who are upset about paying a quarter for a cart. First of all, you get your quarter back. Second, this is one way Aldi keeps prices low.. they don't have to employ enough people to go out and gather carts in the parking lot. Plus your car is safer in the parking lot because there's no errant carts rolling around and hitting your car. Get over it. Aldi Shopping is fun, and this is a great Aldi. You save tons of money.”

“Always came to this Pancho’s Meat Market since I was a kid. Enjoy coming here for goodies, food or tortillas. Yesterday 3/2 I wanted to get some cheese but didn’t know what to get. Shoutout to cashier Oralia! She went to the meat section and asked for the cheese I had described her. She went above and beyond! Thank you! ?”

“El Ahorro Supermarket #1 is a great place to shop for affordable groceries and a wide selection of Latin products. The store usually has good prices and a variety of fresh produce, meats, and everyday essentials.

It’s especially convenient if you’re looking for authentic ingredients that are sometimes harder to find in other supermarkets. The store is well stocked and practical for regular shopping.

Overall, it’s a solid neighborhood supermarket with good options and reasonable prices.”
